I was listening to his boring stream running in the background, and the only thing that he said today (that I heard) that could have triggered a ban, was him shouting "Uncle Ben's is racist now, the world is woke now!" or something like that, when some in-game Asian (Japanese) character said something about rice.

I wanted to archive it when I heard it, but I was playing a game... (:_( I'm currently looking into the DarkDave re-stream to see if I can find it.

-EDIT- The recording of (that part of) the re-stream isn't available yet, but the thing DSP said was at around 1 hour and 55 minutes into his stream today, just FYI.

Summary

Saturday, July 18, 2020:

- DSP's Twitch channel got seemingly banned out of nowhere
- he went into full panic mode, as literally his whole livelihood is depending on the very unreliable platform that is Twitch
- did his usual emergency stream, with paypigs answering the whale calls to soothe him
- turned out his channel got suspended due to a DMCA claim on some of the channel's sub badges
- the channel was reinstated 7 hours after it had gone down
- DSP tried to call in the help of The Quartering and Rekieta
- DSP threatened Twitch (on a late Friday night) to give him an explanation and to promise him this won't happen ever again, or else he's leaving Twitch (lol)
- called Twitch "morons", "idiots" and whatnot
- said he's going to delete/not use most of the "art"work on his channel (sub badges, music, previously recorded streams etc.)
- accused Twitch of breaking the law and legal negligence

Sunday, July 19, 2020:

- Sunday evening, DSP's Twitch channel was suspended again
- DSP continues his "threats" of leaving Twitch

- admits he's breaking Twitch's ToS about not streaming on another platform while being partnered

- "I want the Twitch situation resolved, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen; the update is not a very good update"

- an email from Twitch says the DMCA claim from Sunday was done on the "x 7 subscriber badge"
- the DMCA claimer has made a (in DSP's words) "bullshit page that acts like they created the badges in 2015". Then shows it on his phone to prevent his home IP being tracked:

As far as I can tell at this point, the DMCA claimer found out that DSP's sub badges were created by someone else in August of 2015 as part of a commission (misspelled "comission" btw) for a Twitch channel ("barbaro"-something). I can't read the actual website address, [something].blogspot.com. If this is true, and that website exists and the dates of creation are correct, the DMCA claim could actually be legitimate and Twitch has no other option than to honor the claims (I think? Paging Dr. @Null).

Was there anything particularly egregious he did in the past few days? Something that may warrant light investigation and thus this ban?
 
They probably see him as low profit, high problem, they got rid of DrDisrespect who was high profit, but maybe obstreperous, therefore a problem. They probably are realizing that the streamers are often highly replaceable.

At least the 'LUL' emoticon is still there, which is DSP.

It could be a 24 hr warning bs, dunno.

I've received no notice at all as to what is going on. Twitch says my account is suspended when I try to log in and gives me steps to appeal the process. I'm going to do that and also reach out to my contact to figure out WTF is going on.
