I'm still weirded out about parents who support their kids in porn. I have nothing against those who go into the industry knowing what they're in for, and I'm not prudish enough to expect parents to slap down all this sexual nonsense...but a parent nodding sagely and saying "yes I'm proud of my daughters ability to take dicks up her ass" is a concept I can't really grasp.
its not that weird really. it comes from the same place as "love is love i dont care the color of my daughter's boyfriend's skin" i remember making a paris hilton joke 20-ish years ago in front of my mom, and she was like "actually she's great; use whatever you got to get your money"
Its the same thing, really. if you're already ok with your daughter flaunting her body for money, its not much of a hop to then say "i dont care if you get fucked for money if you enjoy it and make tons of it"
Think about how many pre-greatest generation parents had kids who would dress up as ladies in old vaudville routines. You really think Jack Lemon's dad wanted his only son dressing like a lady and acting like a stripper for money?
Somehow you never thought about that, same with Tony Curtis's immigrant parents, they jumped through hoops to keep their children, and then he goes around and dresses up like a lady and gets groped by men for money.
Yet "some like it hot" is considered one of the top films ever made in the US. and the thought of how their parents felt about them in drag for most of it is never even brought up, because we just assume they were fine with it.
imagine being a child solider in the civil war, seeing hundreds of thousands of corpses and living with the PTSD from that and then getting married and having a child, you struggled your entire life to survive and then to raise a family. and that kid gets on a stage and acts like a prostitute for the delight of thousands, and he says "in (random slut you've never heard of)'s day boys would play the role of women and get kissed and caressed by menits tottally normal"
like no one now thinks of it as anything odd, but thats because we've normalized that sort of small degeneracy. but its sort of the same thing, using your body and dignity to delight others for cash. and people will say its a bullshit argument, but to those 150 years ago, it really would seem very similar.
