The Twitch DMCA Saga (Three Times Resilient!)

He must be pretty desperate to think his moron fans have contacts at twitch. And if they did, why would they help him out? He treats them like shit.
He did the same thing for his MCN crisis: "If any of you word for or know somebody who works for an MCN..."
Considering his employment history, he's probably used to nepotism as a strategy.

My favorite part of all this? None of this is a scheme. None of it is measured. He's barely clever on his best day, and this is one of his worst days. He's completely unhinged and anything is possible at this point when it comes to exposing himself in some way.

Can we get a Champions slip up out of this? Let's see...

Live updates from the pre-stream:

- He just called Twitch ("the person who granted the claim"), and I quote, "an unprofessional moron".

- And he goes on by accusing them of having "bad customer support".

- Calls Twitch "unprofessional" again.

- Says that if he gets suspended again today, he will start up a stream on Youtube and "will talk about options leaving Twitch".

- Begs for someone who has direct contact with someone at Twitch to please help him. Email him at darksydephil@hotmail.com.

- "Everyone can stream on Twitch and have fun, except for me" (King of Suffering) (people get banned from Twitch on a daily basis, but hey, don't let that bother you)

- "People like Memology and Tevin don't mean to hurt me, they just do what they do to make fun of me" (lol, sounds like a retcon to me)

- Accuses Twitch of breaking the law (hoooo boy, that's slander)

And all dem autistic children in their wheelchairs listen to his words, hypnotised like deers in the night staring into a headlight and they're all thinking "Man, Phil is a real cool adult who doesn't take shit from anyone. Go gettem Phil! Hm. I wonder if Mama is drunk already so I can steal her creditcard again."

Are there any other streamers that throw such a fit about DMCA's?
Phil gets it BAD. You have no idea how abhorrent the DMCA situation is when people want to abuse it. I get DMCAs to third parties about pages on this site which have ZERO content that can be considered the creative work of the claimant and they still pass into these bullshit systems as valid.

The DMCA needs to be put out back and shot in the fucking head, but exactly like with the Patriot Act and payment networks regulating the entire world economy, there are way too many powerful vested interests protecting these avenues for perpetual abuse.

That doesn't bode well for the pigroach, because if there is an ideal target for the old "it's wrong, but the guy getting fucked with it is worse so who cares" kind of attack, it's HIM.

Was there any doubt? Imagine getting through the Bankruptcy Saga and thinking he was going to lose here.

PewDiePie got set up with special flags after they started doing it to him so he never got took down until after he got a chance to review it. Phil should be demanding the same kind of thing, and he should have an IP lawyer on standby for it.

ngl...after phil went full karen last night demanding twitch makes an exception for him and ignore DMCA claims because it could affect his bottom line, demanding his case be escalated to management on a Friday night, then making empty threats to leave twitch if his demands aren't addressed and met by management I kinda hope whoever succeeded in fucking with him continues fucking with him. I want to see phil shilling bitwave.tv.

I don't think he'll get those special flags even if he asks for them (which he won't), and the latter isn't happening because he would have to have money on standby to pay said lawyer, and we know how he is about that.

Sounds like he's fucked, and entirely because of his own stupid self. As always.

Is this the same guy that was caught fapping mid stream a while ago? Or he started to stream when he was fapping? I can't pinpoint it.

Ignore DMCA claims because he is a special target of abuse for them.

I'm 100% on Phil's side with this. Fuck the DMCA.

The system may be broken as shit, but it still behooves us all to be wary of our own respective level of risk of being royally fucked by it, and though many innocents get burned anyway, that just makes it even more idiotic that Phil has spent 12 years fostering the living shit out of the "King of Hate" image.

I'm down with the attitude of "Fuck cancer" too, that doesn't mean I'm going to shed tears over life-long smokers. Phil is the equivalent of someone who goes through 2 packs a day.

You've got detractor goggles on. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should have shit removed as soon as a claim is filed as opposed to after humans have a chance to counter. This is especially true for high abuse targets like DSP.

Lets say that DSP decides to stream Shrek 2 in its entirety. Is that really the kind of economical damage that is worth preventing with the same level of ham-fisted "shoot first, ask questions later" legal restrictions child porn has? fuck no.

Here's a compilation of DSP threatening to leave Twitch and calling them names yesterday:

"This is a legitimate business registered in Washington I pay taxes on" Sure Phil you tell yourself that. How many pamentplans have you used in the last years? His business is on so shacky legs that only his luck has carried him so far. This will break and perhaps new strikes will come soon. and I doubt Twitch will cry a single tear when he leaves. tghere are enough Thots to make up for the loss of one roach

Phil undoubtedly got fucked over, but he at least has an idea of who is involved. If someone is just trying to fuck with him and it's not a legit DMCA claim, him reacting like this will not help him. He's paranoid as shit. He sees detractors as some kind of zombie hoard trying to knock down the gates of Paypig Paradise. Him freaking out like this would be the equivalent of storing meat right behind said gates.

I don't disagree. What's the alternative, though? A human should be reviewing claims but claims are piss-easy to file as they are now and the manpower demand to respond to them would be huge and costly.

Inb4 huge companies should've thought of that as even startups are now party to this nonsense and could be crushed having to deal with DMCA shit.
