I remember in one of those anti lopoddity journals on DA, someone made the claim that she is not fullfilling patreon rewards. I wonder what those goals are and if this is a true claim. If so then yeesh. Either her paypigs really want to see stretchmark ponies or they are holding out hope that Lopoddity will finally get around to killing Moondancer. Tbh, writing was never her strong suite. Most of her better story shit was by her Devart friend. It would have been better if she teamed up with someone and she handled the art while they handled the writing.

It's not like Lop really has a story that means anything in the grand scheme of things. She would rather write detailed posts about how many sexual partners her characters have or what characters ate that day + RANDUM HUMOR over actual plot and conflict. The characters often come across as obnoxious because they're the same emotional airheaded weirdo with different coats of paint. Either that or they're the toxic grump that learns how to be less toxic by surrendering their masculinity.

Also lots of plots with bad fathers. Every awful thing a character does is because their dad was mean to them uwu. From what I understand, Lop herself does not have a good relationship with her father so this makes sense.

Also I asked my buddy on patreon about straight characters. They told me that somewhere in the comments, Lop has openly said that no one in her universe is straight. So there you go.

Technically the character originally looked like this;


Carey was a fan artist who got chosen to draw the comics, and she got a lot of shit when the drafts came out because the three main characters were white. She had to edit it and that's how they ended up with a blue/green Taako.

The fans usually depict Taako as ambiguously brown because... taco

The McElroy's left the general appearance of the characters up to fan interpretation though, so basically, whatever goes.
