Okay, either make a comic about trans kid and only give genitals a passing mention (because, to be fair, genitals do play a really big role in being trans) or make a comic about a trans adult and give all the genitals talk you want. Don't make your main character a child and go into extreme detail about their junk. It's just creepy and wrong and I really don't want to be envisioning a child's crotch when I'm trying to laugh at these comics.

Okay, I can buy that maybe Stephie knows the word "clitoris" because her mom is a raging feminist, but how the hell does her friend know what it means? These kids are supposed to be in elementary school! :cryblood:

To be fair, that little boy from "SuperFudge" knew where babies really came from even though he's like 5-6. Still, its sad how today's kids know all these crude words and play call of duty and GTA 5 on the xbox.

Huh. Did Stophie actually manage to get some flak for that one? All the comments seem to be praising it.
 
So is Stephie's friend in that comic intersex, or is Sophie just co-opting intersex issues to push her tucute-esque ideology?

If she were recognizing intersex she would have make clear that in her mouthpiece of character since the beginning of her comic as I'm pretty sure that are different conditions.

As it is, it seems just to appeal the lowest common denominator on tumblr.

Maybe Stophie is like the opposite of that transwoman from Orange is the New Black who knows everything about female sex organs. She knows nothing and everyone just accepts it
Did anybody else assume the mom in these comics was Sophie the author until you saw pictures of her?

Having read the entire comic out of morbid curiosity I can confirm that Stephie is trans and not intersex. I suspect this comic was pulled not because of little children talking about their genitalia but because even the artist realized it was an incoherent mess.

When we get a transsexual scientist making a major discovery, or a transsexual person who's as cool as the likes of Freddie Mercury, Stephen Fry or George Takei, that is when they'll be accepted in mainstream society at large.
