IIRC the Dayton Ohio shooter last year followed goons.txt and the Chapo Trap House guys on Twitter. Unknown whether he had an actual SA account but it would not be surprising.

I remember one post where a junkie wanted to ween themselves off heroin and made a thread. They were going to taper the dose over a couple of weeks and be clean when they came out the other side. So of course they had to cop a bunch of dope for a months supply and of course it was all gone after the first 3 days. No idea if they died or what their username was.
