I guess I always attributed his success as being due to his association with Metokur plus Zidan. Metokur brings the Sweetie Squad, so there was tons of people, good times, guests and money. And Zidan really made the show run well, knew the guests and the background of said guests enough to have a good interview, had opinions on things closer to the audience so was able to steer discussions in a direction the audience liked. Ralph had to basically just react and laugh. Now he has to carry the show. It's a very different dynamic.

Zidan kept the show going because he came off as intelligent and charismatic. You can tell how much Zidan was the backbone of the Killstream with the general decline in quality after he left last year.

Metokur brought charisma, bants, and fun to the Killstream. His following helped, sure, but Metokur's presence really helped keep things entertaining.

Andy was the same way, though not nearly as good as Metokur, and he didn't bring even one tenth the following Metokur did. Andy's contributions were the Tonka fight and nothing else.

You could argue that Zoom contributed because of the bullshit he did against Tonka and Vampkandy, and you'd be right in that. Despite all of us saying "fuck you Ralph for platforming him", a lot of us enjoyed watching Tonka being fucked with, even if we disagreed with the methods. I think more or less we enjoyed watching Zoom fuck with Tonka because it gave us ideas on how Ralph would be fucked with when his time came and the inevitable breakup happened.

In general the power behind the show's success were the targets. Mundane Matt was pretty much despised overall because of how much he tried to supplant Sargon as the leader of the skeptic movement and acted like a snake behind the scenes while screaming about how he didn't believe in gay ops. Kraut was similar, though the gay ops Discord made him worse in the eyes of the Killstream audience until the Boulderstream. Quarterpounder was an absolute joke, but they kept him around as the "token leftist who is also against SJWs", but once he was no longer useful he stopped showing up (which was shortly before the Healstream, when Quarterpounder had his Seethestream telling people to donate to him and not Ralph's charity for St. Jude's). Tonka was the biggest draw because of how much of a beat, baby-backed bitch he was acting, and no one liked him. That's why once the Tonka arc ended it was pretty much over for the Killstream, and Andy and Ralph were trying to save themselves even before Knoxville by saying they'd do an IRL series which never materialized. Ralph has never captured the Tonka arc or Boulderstream, and that's why he's been lashing out at everyone, seeing who gets his audience more riled up. Right now, @Null has gotten the most reaction from the Gunt's loyal fanbase, but that's all manufactured shit to begin with and we all know it. At the end of the day, Ralph is monument to all our sins, and he's made it clear that he's taking everyone he can with him.

Absolutely not. He's talenteless and his success in 2018 was a fluke. The bouldergate stream, Metokur coming on to cut promos on Sargon and Warski's drama with Tonka were a perfect storm that has long passed. The hype is dead and Ralph isn't capable enough to organize a good show on his own five days a week.
That was a great few months though. The internet felt fun in a way it had not for a long while.

Glad we had it. Now we just have... dead air.

I think a lot of people remember Zidan through rosey color glasses, he wasnt that charismatic, most of his takes where "own the libs, trigger the libs" level, he just comes off better compared to gunt and wasn't the devote sycophant like gator

Edit... Zidan deserves full credit for his role in the bouldergate stream

It's not that he had more charisma per se, he just seemed to understand what was going on the most, plus he seemed like he had the least drama surrounding him. Maybe behind the scenes he was petty and in a lot of drama, but on the shows, he just seemed to just keep things on topic and running smoothly.

Behind the scenes he was actually pretty reserved. I know my interactions with him when he wasn't "on camera" were different than what you saw what he was on a stream or something. He was pretty charismatic, he read a room far better than anyone else who was on the show. He played to an audience, sure, but overall I found him to be more likeable. Behind the scenes--at least before this most recent Null arc--I found Gator to be pretty likeable as well. But watching him roll with the Gunt when we saw how he acted after the Pillstream, admittedly, has soured my impression of him.

I wouldn't describe Zidan as particularly charismatic, but in my opinion (and I stopped watching during the Tonka arc because I find Tonka so phenomenally boring and Warski irritating, so it's been a while) he's by far the most normal member the Killstream has ever had. He seemed relatively down-to-earth and like someone who just enjoyed laughing at other people's drama instead of obsessively rolling in the muck with them, the kind of guy you could hang out with irl and not have to worry about them throwing some sort of sperg fit. Aside the drunken boomer Gunt and the terminally online Gator, Zidan came across as a relatively calm everyman that tied the show's dynamic together. The more extreme character traits of the other two worked fine when contrasted with someone less autistic, but without that sort of sounding board it all falls apart.

He used to have new and unique guests almost every single day back on Youtube. Wasn't he also regularly in the high thousands of viewers on YT since the algo would sometimes put him on the front page? I've been trying to find an archive of his old channel to prove it but I can't find one. Getting banned and losing all that history makes it easy to lie.

I can't name a single stream that I was not personally on that I watched of my own volition in the dlive era of Ralph. I was a big supporter during early Stream.me but something about its monetization mechanics made it really unfun to watch and my interest waned then. The peak was definitely the Healstream and I can't imagine anyone trying to justify otherwise.

He used to have new and unique guests almost every single day back on Youtube.
And this, yeah. He would have SURPRISE guests. We'd be rolling and then suddenly Boogie wants on! Keem wants on! Shit's going crazy, 6000+ viewers, $100 superchats coming in. I always liked watching the chat when I was on and calling out interesting commenters by name. There was so much fucking energy in TRR back then.

I've only ever watched the KS when they brought on a guest that I was interested in, such as Metokur, Dick, or Josh. Gator never left an impression on me and tolerating Ralph has always been a chore. The last KS I remember truly enjoying was the first one with Dick and Corinne. That was almost 2 years ago, now. Or maybe it was the one with Jesse Lee Peterson vs Destiny. But here again, I was more interested in Jesse. UH-MAZIN
