Did it seriously take them this long to create final evolutions for the starters?
This shit better not disappoint.

I presume they were created since the start but they were never shown or avaiable because the level limit wasnt enough to evolve them before the next update.

No offense to the artists but unless they pull some crazy clever twist, those silhouettes already look disappointing. All pokemon starters get very different silhouetes when they evolve because they either grow new things (trees, wings, tails, etc) or change shape drastically. These temtem evos just look the same monster but bigger.

btw i found out a romhack called pokemon quartz exists, it has it's own national dex.

What does the ozone layer have to do with psychic powers? I thought Jolteon was supposed to be "nuclear power bad" but no its EM pollution. Exposure to strong EMF fields can affect people, but it's not the same thing as ionizing radiation. Also depression is not an environmental issue. It is owned by a Troll on Route 121, who states that he "had 11 pokemon, but cut them up and made one". A Monster is a mixture of Machamp, Lotad, Golbat, Zigzagoon, Skitty, Kyogre, Tropius and Numel.

The question is: Did this guy seriously just casually catch a Kyogre, just to kill it and attach it to a bunch of early-game pokemon and a trade evolution?

Yes. I've played the rom hack and I can assure you that's pretty much what happens in the game. It's as pointless as you can imagine.

Sprites are drawn nice, but: a lot are overdesigned, there are unnecessary clunky-looking evos for canon mon, generic waifumon, incomprehencible starters and Pretty Sure This Was Digimon OC ahoy.
And also Machop with Pikachu head as a separate mon.

The final evos of temtem starters released, i screenshotted them.

That's... okay i guess. He looks like an old martial artist, with the fur beard and weights on his arms. It's not really epic like infernape but at least it's something better than "it got bigger". The main problem is that this fakemon barely looks earth type (the brown parts look like shit) and it gets absolutely nothing by being a monkey.

This one is... bad. I guess tentacles = octupus = mental + water?? It exudes a powerful deviantart aura, and it looks more like a made up hybrid fursona than an actual monster. It also has a weird thing where it's face looks masculine (blue long goatee) but it's body is feminine (it looks like it's wearing a girly swimsuit). If that's intentional then it's kinda unique but still degenerate.

Oh look it's fucking Not!Blastoise. This one at least has a very different stance by standing up but it's still kinda lame and boring. It also becomes chrystal/TOXIC for some reason. Like, what's the theme here? The rock turtle becomes a rock poison turtle? Why? It's color scheme stays nearly the same. All their color schemes stays the same.

Overall they're not offensively bad but they're not very memorable either. Nagaise is the worst because it's, again, simply a bigger form of the previous one but Seismunch and Tortenite have some really large heads that fucks up their proportions and doesnt make them look like ~2 meter tall adult mons.

The SA LP is a classic. Ironically I think Babos was the most memorable fakemon - it certainly left an impresssion, even if that impression wasn't a good one.

Interesting comparison because Monferno is first evo while Infernape is the final. Seismunch is just so bland and basic, he feels more like a second stage mon, where it starts to get interesting and have to wonder what comes next but in his case it's already over.

It also gets a tail but yeah, it got fucked. Loses most of it's crystals, gets an ugly shirt and it becomes toxic type out of nowhere, without changing colors at all. If anything, this should've been the fist evo.

One other bad thing about temtem is that due to evolution mechanics, you only get the final evos by leveling +50 times, meaning your starter (5) will get there almost on level 60. That number requirement is too high for how underwhelming they look. In digimon games, you're probably getting megas by that point.

That has to be the most moronic system I've ever seen in a monster catching game.
The reason why there's set levels that monsters evolve in is so you don't get stuck, and just in case you fuck up and accidentally cancel, you don't need to grind another 50 levels or so to evolve it.
