The Mysterious Mr. Enter / Jonathan Rozanski's "Growing Around" - IndieGoGo Campaign Failed, John going off the deep end, "Turning Red" is ignorant about 9/11 (later retracted)

It’s his autistic validation project. People can sustain themselves off stuff like that for decades.
off all the passion's to do, John chose the "Sonichu" way, ie create something, that while in your own head will bring you into stardom and fame once it becomes a real thing, but in reality, it will never (because, let's face it, at this point he has zero chance of getting into the industry), and this is just some bizarre fantasy/delusion for him to cope with his shitty life. but unlike Sonichu, where everybody and their mother knew how terrible it was, somehow growing around has fan's that unironically think this a good concept and think that one day, enter will make it big. which is just incredibly sad.

And so, yet another installment of "I started this because people were bugging me, and I'll stop doing this because people are still bugging me" comes to an end.

"don't bring it up again"
it's phrases like this and that user a couple of screenshots ago that started a perfectly normal question with "Please don't get offended I'm not trying to insult you" that makes me think any online place controlled by Enter must be toxic AF

Wonder what the incident has been and if he realizes that by continuosly putting walls in front of his audience he may loose the only source of support he has.
He only left his youtube channel and this discors as a away to communicate with his fans and supporters, i his channel ever gets compromised he could end up basically isolated by everyone.

Denial is always the first step.
Sonichu also did make CWC world famous, the same cannot be said about GA or Enter

Hate that mod. Cerra.

When I went on Enter's server a few months ago for the lulz, he banned me for persisting on asking questions. You ask too many questions about Daddy Enter and criticize the mod, he'll ban you for wrongthink.

He's also a degenerate that cosplays Growimg Around characters. Fuck that guy.

These people really hate answering questions about their own creation.
Imagine how frustrating it would be if a network executive actually considered picking up Growing Around.

MAN: So, in this universe, are you really making sugar the equivalent of an addictive drug?

ENTER: Sure, why not.

MAN: Well, um, that's unnecessary, but okay. Let's see, main characters usually have one thing they really like. Like a favourite food or role model. What's Sally's favourite, let's see, colour?

ENTER: I dunno. One day she likes pink, one day she likes green. Her mind's all over the place.

MAN: Sigh. Well, can you at least explain why all the boys are in dresses?

ENTER: Drop the topic.

He's never even used the community tab on his youtube channel. He's awful at communicating with his fans in general, not just the discord ones. He could easily update his subscribers on video progress, or even update them on growing around via this thing but he never does.

I think a lot of it has to do with how very CWCville the setting of GA is - namely, its all created only to suit the entertainment of one individual, in this case Mr. Enter. The classic problem of such a fantasy world being introduced to the mainstream is that people are going to look at what exists and question it, seeing things in ways it is not meant to be seen.

Its especially ironic given the entire basis of GA reversing age roles is based on a standard trope that many episodes do essentially to prove the exact opposite - namely, why kid-first utopia would collapse like a house of cards (and the only reason they don't immediately fall apart is because a lot of real world issues are stripped out for children to even understand the message, you can't just have crazy Iranian child bombers smashing 747s and A380s into playgrounds and shit because children probably don't understand the reasoning behind suicide attacks in the first place). I would expect the exact cartoon that Enter cites as the inspiration (the thing even Disney didn't want to copyright the fuck out of) has this exact message as well and it's completely flown over his head.

You're right about everything but the last part. In "Flip Flopped," the kids acted exactly like adults and the adults acted exactly like kids, dodging the moral in favor of an extended visual gag. I can agree with Mr. Enter that it was an incredibly stupid cartoon, but for a world where kids rule over adults, "incredibly stupid" is the only way it can function. The smarter you try to make it, the faster it falls apart.

Didn't know that he never used it but I'm not surprised.
One thing I was thinking about is if, after advertising it, he actually told his fans in a proper way that the Madoka review isn't coming anymore. He said so in a comment of one of his journals but now that his Deviantart has been nuked there's no way to find it anymore.

Go figure the one thing that does against the grain (in addition to likely being shit in general, I've never bothered watching it which is why I didn't even remember its name) is the one Enter latches onto despite calling it stupid.

It also explains why he has so much of a reliance on extended and poorly executed visual gags I.E. the "Are we there yet" where the kid is driving the car. I know CWCville comparisons are a dime a dozen here but it seems to be extending into 'just like CWC ripping off the American Rabbit with the whole 'Thank you father' cover" territory.

Has John ever read lord of the flies? i'm assuming not...

He'd argue that Lord of the Flies would not apply because that was a bunch of kids that survived an airplane crash arguing over pigs heads and sea shells, whereas with GA it's been the way of the world because kids could beat in the heads of dinosaurs in some incredibly dumb and simplistic way where Enter apparently assumes humans lived alongside the fucking dinosaurs, who also all only had long thin necks.

Yeah, let's see a neanderthal kid beat in a fucking T REX head with a rock. That'll go well.
