The two really big canals are the Panama and the Suez. Panama is a bigger deal IIRC. There's also the Strait of Hormuz and the Malacca Straits
Uh, the Strait of Hormuz is just a waterway bottle-neck in the Arabian/Persian Gulf. It can't get flooded. In fact, it already was flooded all those centuries ago which is what the biblical floods were all about. It was a land mass connecting Saudi Arabia with Iran, but things changed when the 'floods' came. Lots of recent research been done on this, but I digress.
It's a very quiet body of water though. No flooding there. Maybe I got you wrong. Just seems odd for you to put that up in relevance to the question. I think you probably meant as a giant waterway. If so, my bad.
As for the chinese stuff, well, I went through a few of those vids (thanks for archiving by the way). I was wondering if they just chucked a modern time stamp on it and then I thought: fuck it! that can't all be phoney. That's a lot of land to get submerged. Even if it turns out that some of that footage is old, well, fuck me, will you stop building shit on top of wet soil that is only going to get wiped away in the next flood.
I think China may have bigger problems than anyone else envisioned even if half those vids are true.
It's just so strange all this happening now so soon after the WuFlu, plus all the Anti-China rhetoric from the US/UK governments. Why hit them so hard right now when they are so weakened? Shouldn't we be saying ALL Chink Lives Matter and sending the lifeboats or something? Not kicking them when they are down?
And then the political diplomatic expulsions which will only lead to tit for tat, which will only lead to reduced foreign relations.
Talk about helping your 'friends' when they are down.
2020 folks. Only half way through the year.
It's been good to know 'ya!
EDIT:
Sorry, Return of the Freaker, I was wrong. Apologies to you. My reading comprehension is shitty right now. I see what you were getting at now. My bad.
Sorry Freaker
