I googled EvaXephon to see if there was more evidence to the pedo thing (I could have swore I saw a 4/8chan post saying that he tried to fuck an underage girl and threatened to kill himself when she wouldn't fly over). I didn't find it, but I did find out that he was listed under "Let's Play / Horrible" for his streaming. He also tried on two separate occasions to have it pulled down.

I really hope that LL goes in a positive direction after this. seekndestroy is so talented and I love her interpretations of Minami and neo-Senpai. I'd say here that I really wish that she'll eventually replace Shortcake, but that would get me one optimistic rating after another.

The closest we have is basically that he had admitted to having her nudes a couple years back in some screenshots. There was a old Tumblr post supposedly made by her but it had nothing attached.

It's good to know that the members of r/Osana endorse the hacking of r/yandere_simulator, I was worried they were still keeping up the whole "YandereDev is overreacting to criticism, there are no gremlins trying to mess with him" act.

I'm curious, for those of you who actually played yansim, what kind of FPS were you seeing? I just saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LleJbZ3FOPU and it looks like the if else statements don't have much of a performance impact, if at all. Looks like its just the general architecture of the game itself and its lack of strong multi-threading that makes it slow.

Unity games are multi-threaded by default.

I watched the first half of that video, it's a complete waste of time. At the beginning he shows that his performance is not CPU-bound nor is it GPU-bound. Fantastic. It's I/O bound, and the first place to check is the cache. Instead our video reviewer uses the Unity profiler, incapable of assessing cache misses, and fixes various CPU / GPU issues that are not the cause of the bottleneck. I don't think it was an oversight that he failed to inform us about the total gain from those changes. It's impossible to know what's causing the issues without some metrics that focus on the cache; VTune is free so it's very simple to start profiling to get a sense what direction is necessary.

Regardless: 1) It would defy all logic if YS had cache friendly data structures. That's most likely the biggest issue. 2) Branches + speculative execution contribute heavily to cache pollution and therefore generate cache misses. They represent a much greater potential cost than their computational complexity (branch mispredictions have a cost even if they don't pollute the cache). Again, without any profiling data, it's impossible to say with certainty the impact of most of the branches are causing; however the reviewer's micro benchmark for branches vs. switch statements ignores the entire problem with branching; it has never been about computational complexity.
