Why do these "reporters" have more rights than anyone else? I.e. they should be no more immune to break the law by refusing a lawful order to disperse than the rest of them.

What the Democrat cities are doing is distinctly reminiscent of this. They'll prohibit police use of non-lethal weapons, vote to defund the police, leave federal buildings unguarded, prosecute civilians and punish any police officers who take action against the rioters. It's all designed to stop any action being taken against the rioters. Then when Trump sends in the Feds they denounce it as fascism.
