Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Reporter got appendicitis, it burst, had surgery, happened to test positive for the coof, yet oddly did not have either a fever or a cough and had a clean chest xray, now lo and behold the coof can burst your colon!!

“I turned 27 on June 19. On June 20, I was out on the golf course working and I believe that’s where I got the coronavirus,” Gough said.
Gough said her symptoms started with fatigue and escalated from there.
“On the 23rd, I started feeling the flu-like symptoms; pretty much every coronavirus symptom there is except for the fever and shortness of breath,” she said.

Gough tested positive for COVID-19 and tried to recover at home, but went to the emergency room when she started having severe abdominal pain.
“After running numerous tests, they told me my appendix had ruptured and it needed to come out immediately,” she said. “When I got out of surgery the next morning they told me my appendix was the size of a baseball. They also removed part of my colon and they told me that Coronavirus had literally been a lightning strike to my body.”

It's a purity / virtue spiral. They all want to be shown to be doing "something" out of the pack to fight this disease. This will continue up until the demands become untenable to the mainstream to the point that guilt tripping and screaming won't overcome the objections.

The answer, of course, is accelerationism.

Put forth the idea of "Mask Locks" for people who refuse to wear them that can only be removed by a Police Officer or Nurse, who will then observe the person eating and drinking before re-locking the mask. If you're good at making props, make a mask out of some fabric and two bike lock chains or those kevlar chains used to hold laptops in place. That sort of thing.

The sad thing is, I have no doubt at all in my mind there are a not insigificant number of fucking karens and mini-hitlers who would cheer on the idea of a mask with a lock on it.

So the only thing you have to fear is what insane shit the left is going to cook up in 2024 if Trump gets reelected and they get even more desperate to get a Dem in office.
So all this BS - from "social distancing" and economic shutdowns to lockdowns and mandatory masks - was started by loony leftists?

Current Year - especially government responses to coronavirus - may make a very strong case to never vote Democrat ever again.

Mandatory mask-wearing here in Nova Scotia, Canada starts July 31st.
How will this be implemented and enforced? Fucked if we know. Should be a time.

Ah fuck, that probably means we're next. God damnit.

Were people wearing masks in Nova Scotia in general? I went to Walt-Mart early in the morning to pick up some groceries here in Newfoundland the other day and there was literally one old lady with a mask out of 50-60 people in the store. None of the workers or other shoppers were wearing one.

Loblaws stores here (Dominion) are about to go on strike. 1,300 workers on the picket line, and all those Dominion customers are going to be trying to buy stuff at other stores now, increasing the lines to get in the store because of the social distancing store capacity guidelines. Should be fun.

They started that awhile ago where I live, making us wear them in grocery stores, drug stores, etc. I forgot one time when I went to get a prescription and they just asked me to go get a mask (which I had in my car). I hate the mask shit, but it wasn't a big deal and I haven't seen anyone have a Karen moment on either side in real life yet.

I had an encounter with a Daren, my first true hassling since the EFFECTIVE MASK ORDINANCES went into effect. I've been going to the stores and hwhatnot without one, I've gotten no grief whatsoever though one clothing store aggressively turned me away (I went next door to the other clothing store and spent my money there instead).

I went to pick up some shitty prolechow from a local joint, when the manager (Karen calls the manager, Daren IS the manager) came out to clarify the menu pricing that they fucked up, he shouted at me to "PUT A MASK ON THERES A PANDEMIC! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT U CAN LEAVE!"

I started cracking up, then I started really laffing, ljl forever, I looked at my wallet in my hand and laughed some more, walked out the door and laughed myself right out of the parking lot. TBH I was really glad he did that because the actual price was too high and it gave me an excuse to leave and spend 50% less at the grocery store. Fucking moron.

1. If the rise in cases is so fucking catastrophic, then why haven't we heard of ANY contingency hospitals ANYWHERE being put back into operation?

2. If the rise in cases is so great, why aren't the hospital ships being readied for another deployment?
Because even during the peak of the pandemic in April, those things went almost completely unused.

Fuck, didn't life catch up on us all so fast?

There we were, on the cutting edge of reality, when all of a sudden...

Fuck this BS. Just had to wear a mask to go get some late night beers. I wrapped a scarve around my head, my whole head, and I stormed the store as if I was raiding it. I plonked my beers down on the counter. So there!

Er. Spoke to the bloke behind the counter that was wearing a proper mask, he'd been doing a 8 hour shift and said that even though he was not technically by law made to wear one, well, he just decided today of all days he should when everyone else coming in to his store had to. Cognitive dissonance. He's a good lad, but let on that he didn't think it was fair people coming in to the store without one should get away with it. Though they can by law, stop them, by company policy, they are not allowed to. What a shit show.

Grabbed my beers and fucked off. No pork pies or cheesy wotsits tonight lads! Wew...

Outside all the bars and restaraunts were open. Well, kind of. More than they were before. Saw some people who I'd never seen before in the shop. Fuck knows where they were from. Spreading diseases.

What a fucking joke.

I want to see this government burn. I hated them before. And no, not because I'm a poxy labour supporter, because they are cunts. And the way they have handled this just makes my blood boil. No fucking buses to get my new prescriptions, no lots of things...

But people eating out in posh places enjoying themselves (no envy) just a hundred yards away. Silly fucking cunts.

I still wash my beers and my hands when I get home. Not taking any chances, me.

The other day I had to wait for nearly half an hour while they locked us out of the only shop in town, because they had forgotten to open the fucking door. When they did, the whole place was stinking of fucking fags. They had not forgotten at all.

I wear my smile, like my mask - half way down my face - ready to drop at any time.

Cunts.

And if I seem like I give a fuck - I really fucking don't.

Things will be back to normal in a few weeks time.

I mean, in a few months, everyone will see just how much this cuntery has fucked the economy. And never mind the new fucking normal, get ready for a whole new world of shit.

But comply now and wear that mask!

The good times they are a still a rollin'...

This kind of level of fuckery can not be maintained for much longer.

Once upon a time America didn't have Social Security, or food stamps, or WIC, or Section 8 housing or any of that stuff.
What they did have was lots more petty crime and entire families starving or freezing in the streets because of dire poverty.
And people called FDR a commie for it. How dare he make a minimum wage! "Pull themselves up by their bootstraps" was still being parroted by business cocksucking conservative types back then too. And if you let them, they'll literally shoot their workers. See the coalfield wars.

It's been pretty 'easy come, easy go' with masks for the most part, and I've been seeing a lot less people wearing them now than a month ago. The big red social distancing dots in line-ups and plexiglass guards at every register seemed to be enough to make people forget about them, and they are a requirement for workers in the grand majority of businesses around here.

Social distancing tends be quickly dismissed when you're waiting in a line outside, especially when some fuckers aren't in the mood to wait around... those fuckers mainly being little old ladies and methadone junkheads, in my personal experience.

Same. It's annoying but, hey, I'd rather my glasses fog up than be hit with a fine (which will inevitably come with this). I don't think we have too many Karens around here, more like passive-aggressive Pattys and explosive Erics who will have some shit to say if they're denied a cheque-cashing at the bank or the front of a sale line because of no mask. No one is yelling about oppression of rights... just yet.

It's almost like it wasn't the bubonic plague on steroids and that our response to it was too extreme.

What was it about this disease that made "experts" think causing a borderline economic depression was preferable?

I think almost everyone approves of hand-ups, but not lifetime welfare for the lazy and "disability" for fatties.
