Well The west coast is expensive AF to live in..so yeah it may sound like a lot compaired to most of the US, but for them its closer to maybe 40 - 60k for most of the US.

I don't know if its the same in Seattle, but here in Portland, the police are understaffed. Its hard to get people to be a cop in Portland, and its hard to keep someone of quality from going to a nearby jurisdiction that is less god awful than Portland.

It's obvious. They want to bait Trump and the right into showing up with force. Thankfully someone in the White House is actually doing their job in advising Trump to just stay back and laugh as Democrats try to pacify the golem they've created and nurtured since the 60s. Democrats don't want to be the ones responsible for calling the police on these people, even though we've seen that these riots could be contained within minutes if there was any will to do so.

Don't shed a tear for them. The people in these cities get what they voted for.
