yes the AK has a semi auto mode, all assault rifles do, and it's the main mode you're supposed to use. the full auto mode is so you can use it as a makeshift SMG in close quarters if you find yourself in a situation that calls for it.
also generally the civilian versions of military rifles are semi auto only because owning full auto guns is illegal or highly restricted in every country

I'm okay with someone being a MAP if they acknowledge that they're fucked up, get help/treatment, and stay the hell away from kids. Treat it as a disorder, not a legitimate sexual preference.
