1. "This person attacked me"
2. "I will sign the complaint" (cop language)
3. Point out evidence
4. Point out witnesses
5. "You will have my full cooperation in 24 hours, when I have spoken with legal counsel"

Also, it's worth investing in carry insurance, such as US Law Shield or USCCA. They'll cover your legal fees, and have a 24-hour hotline for an attorney (when you make contact with your lawyer, your client privilege kicks in).

Edit for a few more things:

• STAY CALM AND SHUT UP. Anything you say can be used against you in court, and the cops will notice if you're motor-mouthing while the adrenaline is still rushing
• Pick your battles. As my CC instructor said, "make a list of people you're willing to go to prison for".
