As soon as he put Raibaru in as the guard for the first rival, the hopes of that were fecked.
For progression to feel good, any rival that's harder than Osana (who in theory should be basically an 'applications/final exam' tutorial) would need either an invincible bodyguard or something that's better than one.

And while regular school police are indeed more American than Japanese, I imagine if more than one murder occurred at a school that they'd start leaving cops there. Japanese police departments are very, very nosy (by design).

RE: Progression: what can he really do? If Osana has Raibaru, how can he make Final Boss-chan powerful enough to be the end of the 'difficulty progression staircase'? Keep in mind, you can whack all four of her student council simpettes on the same day (the very first one), so they (and the security measures that get added if any one of them are killed) can't be the only things making her hard.

Honestly, after five years of development, I think Osana has become sort of his magnum opus. He wants you to follow very specific paths to eliminate her. When it comes to rivals outside of Megami, he's probably going to half ass it, with probably a copy paste of Raibaru guarding them or some other thing that makes them unkillable unless you follow the very strict rules he has imposed. We've seen how he punishes creativity in elimination methods with him patching out the gasoline over the door trick.

Alex plays a lot of games but don't understand the reason behind the game logic and so on, for example in the first mission of Hitman 2 the game TELLS YOU what can you do and how to interact with the environment, this is why the player can come with ideas to accomplish their mission, that's why when you can pull it off the way you want feels rewarding, that's why is funny that Alex "patches" every single way of killing Osana (like the gasoline method) that it doesn't involved to interact with Raibaru.

Raibaru is there to cockblocking the player at every stage so that Alex can relax and delay Osana all he wants because you know he gave you Raibaru (which is invincible btw)

After a crime is occurs and the police come to the school in YanSim, there is an investigation sequence which determines if you got away with it. If someone saw you and can't prove it, then they drain your reputation every day after that.

The school atmosphere also drops if lots of people die in school or go missing, and the view radius of the students increases - when school atmosphere is at its worst, metal detectors and cameras are installed.

There are long term consequences in YanSim for murder, although I'm not sure they're fully implemented so they may just be planned.

Literally all of this could've been avoided had Alex not announced his shitty game so early.
Let's see: no dealing with trolls, no hacks, no pedophilia rumours, no need to make all the debunks, no companies drama.
He could've sat there in his basement working 3 hrs a day on the game for 10 years at a leisurely pace, dedicating the rest of his time to write rape fiction or whatever and then release a playable demo with Osana and all that crap, saying it took him 6 months to make. And the people would be none the wiser. The code would still be shit but at least the speed he made it at wouldn't be known to anyone. Even if the project failed, he could've shrugged it off since it would've been just a side hobby.
In that scenario: in 2025 a playable demo with many features releases. Since it's not that bad nobody really bothers to troll the dev digging up pedo shit from his past. As there's never a shortage of retarded teens that wanna see anime girls murdering people he'd still get his Patreon and a possibly successful Kickstarter. Publishers would be much more inclined to work with him since none of the TinyBuild drama and the overall negative atmosphere around the game would've been off-putting factors. People would still volunteer to help, etc, etc...
While now he is a failure of a man replying to trolls instead of making an actual game, with a slowly declining Patreon. No respectable publisher will work with him, the haters and game clones will keep coming. All the OG fans of his will have graduated college and created a fucking family by the time YanSim releases, so the few supporters he has now will disappear soon enough, leaving nothing. Everything will eventually end up with the game releasing in 3 or so years, get a few sales on Steam with everyone else just pirating it for the lolz.
6 fucking years wasted, the last 3 or so with him living with blood pressure of a mad bull, depressed, his greatest achievement in life practically fucked for all intents and purposes. And all that because this idiot just had to brag to everyone that he thought up a semi-original game at a point in time when he probably didn't even know how to write a Hello World program.
Really the only opposing argument to this is "he wouldn't have the motivation to see the game through without the support of the fans". Fuck, if you believe in and care about a project strongly enough you could finish it even with 0 supporters.
