Not sure why he'd need verification of anything before he acts to be honest. Ralph is clearly trying to isolate her and make her dependent on him and make her world revolve around him. Ralph is going to ruin her life and considering what we've seen of her documented behavior of the past few years she is quite obviously mentally still a child.

One of my coworkers has to wear long sleeve shirts in the midwest summer due to his tattoos and it just about killed him when we were working outside the other week.
