I ran netstat on my Windows 10 PC and discovered a list of active connections from a site by the name of "kiwifarms". I'm not sure what this means in particular but it does have me a little concerned..

For some reason, the first line of his hosts file is this:
127.0.0.1 https://kiwifarms.net/

So he has kiwifarms (the url and not the domain name) aliased to localhost. So maybe, because it's the first entry, it's just listing any connections he has to localhost as being kiwifarms.

I have no idea why he would have done something like this or what would have done it for him. My guess is it's a lolcow who did it to himself because you don't put urls in hosts, you put names.

There's a user of this name on piratebay and a smattering of posts to piracy-related forums so who knows what the guy may have picked up.
