It used to be funnier, Dick used to be more likeable and side characters didn’t have as much input. I don’t know about “cool” but it was entertaining, especially if you were a fan of Biggest Problem.

Speaking only for myself, the decline of Maddox was something you couldn't look away from as a guy who had thought Maddox was cool quite a few years ago. And The Dick Show is what was covering and discussing that. The lolsuit was objectively very entertaining and was my introduction to insane people interacting with the law/state which is still one of the most interesting things on the farms to me. Dick was on a high after the lolsuit got thrown out and because Maddox kept getting caught in underhand schemes to attack Dick and Asterios was going for sanctions, that kept the interest up as did the development of New Project 2 and seeing where that would go. I had got in to the habit of listening to it, even after the Asterios sanctions got thrown out and the lolsuit was over, in the same way that you might still tune in to a TV show that isn't as good as it used to be but you're still vaguely curious about what happens next and still rooting for the main character.

I accept that if you had no interest in the Maddox backstory and joined the show after the lolsuit, it was probably underwhelming.

Yeah, I think he did a very effective job of hoovering up Maddox's fans and turning the dispute and then the lolsuit in to content and goodwill. And the show has had some interesting and funny guests on over the years.

I like Dick and all, but Riley & friends have single-handedly killed any interest I have left in the Dick Show. I guess I'll give it another listen if I ever feel like hearing from a dropout drug dealer kiddie and a greasy pedophile in a sundress.

Riley wants to please Daddy Dax so bad that he goes ham on Karen Farms because he knows Dax gets easily butthurt about us. 100% I used to make fun of him to the point where women would DM me about how creepy he is, DMing any woman who mildly showed vague interest in him, and would ask them to take pictures to send him so he could "practice his photoshop skills." He'd tell them about how he was addicted to alcohol and sex because he's a homeless orphan with type 2 bi-polar manic depressive and refuses to take his meds because it inhibits his creativity. Then, he'd tell the next girl he was fucked up because his mom brought drugs in the house. He's probably a pathological liar or sociopath, at the very least because he bragged about getting his current girlfriend because he charged her 40 dollars and sex to not have to go back to her parents house, which spawned the Dax screaming at her parents "bit." This guy deserves his own thread to be honest.
