If Donald Trump wants to win this election, he needs to compare the two images below as the strategies of republicans versus democrats. Democrats go with the Minneapolis letter to make sure your wallet or phone are in easy reach for the criminals. Republicans go with “get yourself a gun and be able to defend yourself.” People are sick of coddling criminals and it’s absurd that innocent people need to suffer because of “muh systemic racism.” Maybe a series of commercials from the victims of crime talking about their experiences would work well in the suburbs. If all citizens could demonstrate the logical acumen to make reasonable decisions, direct democracy (or mass absentee ballots) would be great. The current VERY MINOR hurdles to voting (I vote early at the city center to avoid crowds during presidential elections) somehow dissuade over a third of our electorate from casting a thoughtless vote for free gibs, and I like that.

I would even tone down my support for voter ID if voting was as complicated as figuring out how to transfer credits from community to state college.
