I finally thought of who Wu reminds me most of in terms of the superiority complex despite being ludicrously unimportant, endless prattling in the attempt to sound noble, and just batshit lunacy:

Anyone else remember this guy? I see the same ludicrous disinterest in reality and 10-year-old mindset in him as I do in Wu. If Twitter was big back when he was trying to get his UFO to work, I imagine he'd spend as much time ranting on it as Brianna.

I used to follow him as something of a lolcow figure (he is seriously batshit insane, if he has a source of daily shenanigans he could even be worthy of a thread) and I get so much deja vu watching Wu desperately try to claw her way to being a feminist icon and/or oppressed martyr.

You have to remember, Games wasn't this guy's first choice. He tried to do his shitty fanfic as a comic or an audio thing or whatever first.

Kinda falls into the "catgirl" trap where they're not really some other species rather than (what Wu thinks is) a hot anime girl with some meaningless features from something else for fetish fuel I guess.

I mean if you're gonna have a bug person, make there be some reason for it. Extra limbs, limited flight, hidden poison stingers (though proportionally could be SPEARS), something actually buglike. Especially if it's a deliberate genetic modification. I'd almost be able to buy what she currently ended up as for some sorta "we're running out of bees so we're basically making these mutants that can interact with and pollinate flowers" or something. But then that raises the question of why chessboard would want a bee lady if her only skill was pollinating flowers.
