Have to wait until the 22nd for more info/a trailer, but I'm somewhat intrigued. The Batman: Arkham games were pretty good and even though I'd prefer a different hero over Suicide Squad, I'd like to see what they can do with it.

"What are we some type of 'Games as a service' Squad?"
HOL' UP
>opens lootbox
YOU BE SAYIN'
>goes on sale for 80% off the week after launch
NIGGA SHEEEIT Y'ALL SAYIN
>briefly reappears in the news when twitter demands they give Harley Quinn a girldick
>and they comply

WE BEIN' SOME KINDA
>shuts down servers after 3 months and borks the game

I like the Arkham games, they're theb est Batman games ever made. Which isn't necessarily a high bar. But. Suicide Squad sure would be a good template for Games as a Service.

Which is a little worrying.

Also Rocksteady has no fucking idea how to do boss fights that don't involve giant Monsters. Out of 3 games the only good boss fight was Mr.Freeze, so how the fuck are they going to make an SS game where the goal is to kill someone like Superman?

Will Suicide Squad have forced painful Batmobile sections?

I'm only interested if it's basically Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and not a money sucking "games as a service" scheme.

Meh on Suicide Squad, I was hoping for Superman.

I guess there's just no way to make Superman work in a game, huh?
You could, but DC's restrictions would probably fuck it. Titus' PS1 game looked fine, not arkham good but like there was a good idea there if DC didn't pull the plug

A well done Superman game would just be playing GTA with god mode on. There'd be no real fun or challenge because Superman himself is the least interesting superhero there is when you're not focusing on morality or ethics, and no one wants to play a Superman game that's essentially an interactive drama.

What is this "games as a service" thing that keeps getting mentioned?
Basically the idea that you can create a game and indefinitely monetize it.

The foundation were MMO's and then it began infesting other genres.

In this case, it would be game that has an inital set of characters. Then you pay for extra characters, skins, level modules, expansions, etc etc.

It's trying to prolong a games lifecycle.

Suicide Squad? Eh, not really interested. However, if it plays like a dream? I could get behind it...

If we don't get to kill at least 2 street level heroes like Green Arrow then what is even the point of this game? I'm not sure they have the balls to kill off any of the original 7 JL members so they better at least throw a couple 2nd tier character deaths at us. I'm talking deaths on the JL side and on the Suicide Squad. If they don't go gritty and realistic on this game then this might as well be a reskin of that Lego DC Villains game. If they actually go all out and kill one of the original 7 JL members then that's enough for me, not to sound too bloodthirsty or anything lol.

That's what people with no imagination say. There's kryptonite weaponry for mooks, a rogue's gallery with the likes of Mongul, Parasite, Metallo, Livewire, and that's not counting transplants like Despero, Sinestro, Black Adam and Darkseid. All you need to do is look at the 64 game... and not do that.

ETA: Remember that Hulk Ultimate Destruction was a thing. If the Hulk had one game that didn't suck, there's no excuse other that writers shrugging and saying "hurr durr how'z we beat Soops? he's 2op duuurr"
