Yet no one confronts them IRL. They see that as cowardly and just cause for their terror.

Some people have expressed a desire to confront them IRL but they seem clueless about how to do so.

Here's how I think counterprotesting should be done:
- Wear a mask so they can't identify you.
- Don't drive to the protest, they'll smash your car.
- If it's legal in your state, bring a weapon for self defense.
- Focus on putting out fires, cleaning up graffiti, defending property or just peacefully carrying counterprotest signs. Maybe bring a boom box to drown out antifa chants.
- Don't attack them unless they attack you first. Don't break the law. A Tarrant style shooting spree would accomplish nothing and make the right look terrible. If they attack you first, you'll look like a martyr in many people's eyes. Yesterday's grandmas are a good example to follow.

That being said, there's no way to confront them safely. They will do their best to dox you, make you lose your job, smear your reputation, vandalize your property and they might physically attack you. They might even try to sue you. Publicly disagreeing with them requires balls of steel.

You just get the suspect's consent and have them resign their property receipt. It's a hassle, but not that uncommon.
