I have seen that "52% of gamers are women!!!" statistic before, it includes any type of computer games such as Angry Birds and I think even Facebook games. Now, I don't care if these people call themselves gamers but it is ridiculous to present it as if they are customers of console/PC RPG/FPS/Turn-based/etc games.
