I never thought this had anything to do with wanting a sex change. Let's not forget that Chris is as bone idle as the day is long. He was self conscious about his manboobs and his tiny cock, and Chris, being a lazy fucker who will always look for the quick fix, hoped male hormones would fix both. Also he was accused of being gay on a daily basis by the trolls at that time, and being a homophobe he presumably felt that being more manly would be the best way to quell those rumours that he deemed slanderous.

Well, he had two choices: either grow the cock and shrink the boobs, or grow the boobs and cut off the cock. He was on the fence for a long, long time, because on the one hand he wanted to attract china, but on the other hand he fucking hated his penis to the point where looking at it made him physically nauseous.

As I read Chris-speak, he's saying that the main reason why he wants male hormones is to end the struggle and align his body with his feelings. It's certainly lazy and half-assed, but the root cause is gender dysphoria (or whatever you want to call it). This goes beyond simple displeasure at his physical appearance. Within these Kacey calls, he definitely is not trying to ingratiate himself with Kacey by trying to be feminine. As you point out, he was in competition with Liquid, whose cock was much bigger. The actual dialogue indicates that he's trying to escape femininity with the hormones.

You are correct that he initially bought the muscle bras to allow him to jog. However, months before this, he admitted to Ivy that he enjoyed wearing women's underwear. He was already doing this, as a fetish. When he put on the sports bras, his response was immediate ecstasy, partly because of the autism/tactile thing, but mainly because it made him feel more self-confident and in touch with his feminine side. In retrospect, this should be obvious, given that it led inexorably to tomgirlism and full-blown transgenderism.

We have to look at this Kacey conversation within the longer historical context. Chris had been worried about his gender for a long time, which leads me to believe that he brings up hormones with Kacey because he's concerned about being a woman and/or homo.

Holy shit, what an autistic statement. This is hard evidence that Chris was feeling strong gender confusion & anxiety by this point. He has already started to program his mind to stay straight.

Plus the thing he stroked was female of course, because anything else would make him a HOMO. I never read anything more into his hatred of da homos than he was just someone raised in a part of America famous (to this day) for it's intolerance of gay people because of it's age-old bigotry and backwards bible literalism. Not to mention the fact that he was 'raised' by a pair of elderly republicans with antiquated views ti match, which they will have passed on to Chris.

We do not have hard evidence, but the more I think about Chris's trajectory and where he is now, the more I am convinced that it was basically the opposite of what you describe here. While Chris was definitely influenced by an anti-gay culture and parents, the main reason why he became so obsessively, ridiculously homophobic was precisely because he had been feeling more and more like a woman for his entire adult life, and because of his autism, he was terrified that this must mean that he was a fat fag, doomed to hell and parental scorn. The main reason why he had to STAY STRAIGHT and stare at Sailor Moon's titties and pray to GodJesus was because he just could not shake the deep sense that he was a woman. ONLY when he reached the epiphany that he could be a "male lesbian," and thereby keep his life pickle-free, was this long crisis finally resolved. All of this is only a hunch, and I don't think the sources will ever be available to confirm it. It could by a psychiatrist, maybe? They can prescribe hormones, especially if they think his unhealthy behaviors are related to gender dysphoria and/or some trans-related depression. But based on the facebook comment about ordering another batch, I think he bought them online. It's an entirely feasible way of getting them, supported by a lot of trans people who don't believe in gatekeeping - which is worrying given that he has to basically guess at and dial in his dosage and fucking around with hormones can really mess you up (blood clots, kidney damage, various cancers). If he's not going through a doctor, he's probably getting a lot of information from the internet about that sort of thing and, unsurprisingly, some of it's really bad, dangerous, and medically unsound advice.

Wow, what a genuinely interesting and well researched post.

I've always been highly sceptical of Chris's male lesbian thing in spite of being aware of everything that you quoted, but seeing it all written out like that has actually made me think twice. I was always of the opinion that the tomgirlism was a sort of last resort gambit out of desperation to find a sweetheart and finally make crystal a reality where all other attempts had failed spectacularly, but clearly this was not entirely unprecedented. As you say though we will never know for sure, who knows what goes on and has previously gone on in that head of his/hers. However...

This is a sticking point. Chris has demonstrably always been attracted to women. I don't think that has ever sincerely been called into question. Why, with this in mind, would Chris ever fear being a woman to begin with, especially at a young, pre-pubescent age? I could understand if he suddenly found himself attracted to men, however this is a seemingly straight guy doing normal straight guy things (namely looking at posters of scantily clad women). This would suggest a fear of becoming a homosexual, a thing which he has discriminated against his entire life, rather than being a woman.

I think this is coupled with an extreme naivete on gender and sexuality (seriously, who in their right mind actually believes that people are turned gay by not looking at tits once a day)? This does seem to be more leaning towards a fear of gays rather than a fear of being a woman, as Chris's actions in this case do not suggest that he thought he was in any doubt as to his gender, but rather feared for his sexuality.

I doubt Chris is in any actual danger. Like other people have said it's probably just a placebo or some bullshit product. The changes Chris thinks are happening are likely just due to weight gain.

Yep -- it's possible he's just taking some kind of women's vitamins that he THINKS are hormones. (I don't know if they'd do anything, although vitamin overdose is a possibility, it's unlikely.)

You're right, this is a loose end. I don't understand it. He'd been jerking it to lesbian porn since he was 16, so he knew what lesbians were, so why couldn't he have smoothly transitioned to being a lesbian in his early 20s? You're right that he ALWAYS says that he's afraid of being a homo, not a woman. The most bizarre aspect of this is that he would literally hear voices say "Chris is gay" and have unbidden images of dicks pop up in his mind. I wonder if this still happens. There's also his deep disgust at the male body--did he bring this upon himself as part of his anti-homo self-programming, or is it more organic? I have never heard of anyone who thinks this way, and I have no idea what it means.

When I'm faced with these types of Chris mysteries (or "Crysteries," as they're referred to in the Vedas), I have to go back to the one-word answer, "Autism." We will never understand the blarms, and we will never understand the homophobia. It is like trying to see the back of your head.
