I'm sharing this story so I can hope to inspire others to share their stories and know that it wasn't your fault.

When I was 13 my mom left me for drugs and after a while my dad started molesting me BC he said he was "depressed" and I reminded him of my mom. I tried telling my grandparents at 14 but they didn't believe me at the time and they called him and of course he denied it but it slowed down afterwards but it only stopped when he found his new wife but he had to do it one more time.

When I was 15 my grandparents got really sick and had to go into the nursing home for 3 years and I had to live with my great aunt and her boyfriend. At first he was so nice, buying me things, being all nice and saying he loved me but he was abusing my aunt, but my when my got custody of me at 16 he started verbally, mentally and sexually abusing me. He would always try to say he owned me and that I was his daughter and he would get mad every time I went to live with my grandparents and he also tried to say I made my grandparents sick. I finally came out and told my grandparents and it came out that my dad also molested my uncle. We tried to prosecute them but it never went to trial because "there wasn't enough evidence." My mom-mom told my aunt and my aunt didn't believe me at all and she called me a whore and she stayed with him. After 2 mental hospital stays and amazing grandparents I am OK now and I know it wasn't my fault. I am a survivor of sexual abuse and I hope this story will inspire others to tell their stories.
