This is talking about only the 'troons boom' of the current day - Could the pushback even be 'big enough' that we may even rethink the whole trans as a concept? From the time of Lili Elbe/The Danish Girl (A classic AGP story meets money-hungry questionable doctors), to old school troons days where being one was seen in negative light instead of being 'brave and stunning'. Sweden allowed this a state-validated delusion since 1976. We have this shit going on for a while but it's just becoming a fad recently.

In this case I'd compare it to eugenics, where it has always been a thing since the 19th century but then the Nazi blew it up to the point that it isn't seen as a harmless idea anymore?

Another thing I wonder is.. music, would ex-troons find their niche as a modern time castrati? puberty blocked boys, the obvious bit. And girls that would sound like a mix of perpetual teenage boys and chain smoker grandmas

Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. They think minors, including very young children, are capable of giving informed consent to permanent sterilization and genital mutilation surgeries, and it's not a far leap from that to thinking those same children are capable of giving informed consent to sex. And given how many TRAs have been outed as kiddie fiddlers, well...

Edit: Didn't think about it initially, but could Mermaids be on the verge of getting buttfucked by some kind of exposé? Maybe by a detransitioner/former child victim? Their public beliefs and practices are repugnant enough, so proving they want to drug and cut up kids can't be it. If there is dirt on them that isn't pedoshit it must be pretty nasty.

I can understand some BBC executive begrudgingly conceding, under pressure, that the BBC is legally mandated to be politically impartial. But I'm really surprised that the rest of them are jumping ship.

Either, it's some scandal we don't know about yet, which would reveal how tight knit the whisper network is between the higher ups at the BBC and these charities. Or they are just influenced by the BBC's decision to de-list them... but why now? The information about Mermaids has been out there for ages and the center-left shitlibs don't seem to have cared before.

The only other thing I can think of is that the government put pressure on them. There are rules in the UK on charities' political activities. The contentious nature of Mermaids claims would make them unsuitable as a source of information for a charity like the NSPCC since transgender topics are mostly outside the scope of their core activities (rules are here: https://assets.publishing.service.g...m/uploads/attachment_data/file/610137/CC9.pdf). Though that doesn't explain Stonewall dropping them.

Susie Greene is a monster and belongs in a prison cell. But as we all know horrible people can get away with horrible shit for a looooong time and Mermaids has been doing vile stuff for years and they still have lots of support and are powerful.

What sounds like the vehicle slowing down is just the vehicle changing gears. They're probably just throwing assets around because the mermaids brand in particular has started to lose favor. There's no way in hell tranny shit is going to lose government/celebrity/corporate support any time soon.
