I don't know about yours but dozens were charged in my city when the riots happened right after Floyd OD'd but they were put down within a week and since then we've only had actual peaceful protests sporadically. It's not even a red city (if such a thing even exists) and it sure as hell isn't a red state. Pretty easy to get blackpilled from this thread but the worst of this bullshit is only still happening in these containment zones.

I spent a good week walking around with groups with bats in Bensonhurst, Sheepshead Bay, and Howard Beach but it's been super quiet. I've come to the realization that the rioters aren't coming around my side of NYC since us Italians are pretty much the last ones left that will smack the shit out of someone for setting foot in a neighborhood they don't belong in.

So far they can keep burning down the liberal areas in NYC. If they set foot over here then they'll have a problem. But like I said they're not coming here. They've been keeping their riots and protests confined to very specific neighborhoods.

Pretty sure the suburbs of Detroit are where all the middle and upper class “Detroit residents” live and were created after the riots in the 60s with the “white flight”.

The Detroit Suburbs started sooner then the 60s, it was the post war economic boom that really got them going, then the riots only increased demand.

If some one tells you they are from Detroit (and they don't do the hand map thing), chances are at best they are as far north as Flint with a line going east to the Lake (maybe include the entire thumb too), then draw a line south to the State boarder, although even then, although some will say it even if they are in the Upper peninsula, because most people have a better vague idea where Detroit is then any other city.

Keep patrolling. Even if no one comes your way, you're forming networks and strengthening relationships in case you ever need to defend your area in the future.

Watching the streams, I noticed the BLM people have been getting really good at forming networks. They've been getting more insular as the weeks wore on and the crowds shrank. They recognize faces, they know names, they have signifiers and code language. Whenever someone new shows up they challenge them, and they back up their friends who challenge outsiders.

For all the shit we give them as LARPers, the left has finally got around to proper street-level organizing. I'd speculate that it's only happening now because they're mimicking the social network model, and they depend on social media tools maintain it. I also think it's superficial--they are bound by ideology and easy optics, like a self-organizing Facebook group or friends list. The real kind of community bonds are like the Englewood activists we saw earlier today.

So even if it's just practice or a glorified pub crawl, I'd encourage people to get out and establish your neighborhood's willingness to defend itself. Put the idea in the mind of people who don't join you but do see you.
