there's a reason a&n is considered the cesspit of kf, and it has to do with said users you refer to. more often than not they're refugees from shut-down communities that they themselves turned into shitholes.

Hell, the Beauty Parlor got so bad at one point that they had to put huge disclaimers at the top of the page warning everyone to not act like an absolute window-licker, they have a guidelines thread for how to behave like a normal person in the Amber subforum (Ironically this was written by THOTto, who turned out to be particularly abnormal), and there's a policy of "if you get doxed it's your own stupid fault." in the BP forums.

A&H isn't the only collection of oddly subforum-centric users on the Farms, they're just the ones that people complain about the loudest.

Hell, the Beauty Parlor got so bad at one point that they had to put huge disclaimers at the top of the page warning everyone to not act like an absolute window-licker, they have a guidelines thread for how to behave like a normal person in the Amber subforum (Ironically this was written by THOTto, who turned out to be particularly abnormal), and there's a policy of "if you get doxed it's your own stupid fault." in the BP forums.

A&H isn't the only collection of oddly subforum-centric users on the Farms, they're just the ones that people complain about the loudest.

It's almost always stickers, but oddly that's always inside of the threads themselves, no one ever files reports about internet stickers, which is good because I'd probably laugh myself out of my chair.

If you mean legitimate, "here's why this subforum should be shut down" complaints, then I don't really have any off the top of my head. Even the people you'd expect to make reports like that literally do not ever make reports like that. For example: I don't believe that Hollywood, Tuscan, or Ashy ever used the report function even a single time. They just duke it out in the aisles, they don't ask to see a manager.

I don't really know where that belief even comes from because unless I'm not privy to some secret conversation somewhere, I've never seen that discussed in the moderator boards. Contrary to popular belief we're actually one of the least-moderated parts of the forum in the sense that people rarely need to be threadbanned, warned, have their posts removed, or require any real form of disciplinary action.

The overwhelming majority of the "work" in A&H is light editorial work. Improperly formatted threads, missing article links, articles posted in the wrong forum, editorialized headlines, or articles posted inside of quotes. That is easily 90-95% of the reports filed for A&H, and there's maybe five or six of them a day. Granted that could be because I'm somewhat lackadaisical when it comes to people getting heated, because I think it's kind of fun to watch, but I still stand by my belief that it's impossible to avoid conflict in a board that's essentially dedicated exclusively to politics.

If people aren't fighting and disagreeing with each other in a topic as divisive as politics, that's not generally a good sign.

No, it's really not bad at all. There were six reports today: Two threads in the wrong subforum, a reaction image, a duplicate post due to lag, a misplaced post intended for another thread, and someone making a new thread without including the accompanying article. That's a very average day, actually.
