Knowing Steph, the roommate probably made some totally normal "that poster is nightmare fuel haha" comment to make small talk, and miss Crimson Claw spun it in her mind as "wow, this validates my scary goth succubus witch feels. I successfully creeped out my roommate .

And I'm sure she referenced it to the roommate on multiple occasions, thinking that it was some inside joke that they had. She strikes me as a clingy try-hard type when she gets any sort of positive affirmations. It was probably annoying, but I could imagine the roommate going along with it to pet the sped.
