EDIT: The surgeon, a black male, braided her hair to keep it away from the area to be operated on and to ensure that her hair didn't tangle later. He also was thoughtful enough to use staples instead of stitches so that she could maintain her hair.

It’s a nice feel-good story. The doctor has three little girls at home so he’s used to dealing with black women’s hair, he went out of his way to do something nice for his patient. Little acts of kindness go a long way in a medical setting because of how stressful and uncomfortable it can be. The reason why Tess and other wokies are reposting it is because a) black hair is a mystical magical thing that grants wishes, and b) they’re so flabbergasted that a black man could become a surgeon! And not only that, he operated on a strong amazing black woman! Joe was right, poor kids really are as smart as white kids! I’m surprised Tess didn’t start a fundraiser to pay for the surgery, everyone knows black people can’t afford medical care. It’s incredibly patronizing and totally sours a happy puff piece story.

Why is she spending money on getting her cat a haircut? I had to go look at her story because with the screenshot above (As with most pics of her) I couldn’t tell what body part I was looking at...

The cat probably got incredibly matted because Tess is too far up her own ass to brush its long fur regularly and deal with small mats before they become big ones. In which case, the haircut would be a necessity because mats are painful and cats can develop skin problems underneath them.

Long-haired cats don't need to get lion cuts in the summer in order to tolerate the heat--that long hair serves as an insulator against excessive heat as well as cold. As long as they can find a shaded place to lie down (preferably a tile or concrete floor), and have plenty of access to clean, cool water, they're fine. Lion cuts are really only necessary for cats who are very prone to matting (not all long-haired cats are), and who have owners who can't keep up with maintaining their coats.

Tess can’t think beyond news headlines and because Trump wouldn’t put extra funding toward the USPS, the mainstream media has been running stories of how Trump is trying to steal the election because of his criticism of mail in ballots. Of course, to anyone that digs a bit deeper, they’d realize that the USPS has been losing money for decades now because of email and people paying bills online. That’s partly why post boxes are being taken out of some places. It isn’t meant to be malicious. If people are doing more things digitally, there’s not a point of keeping a bunch of post boxes that go underused. Additionally, these decisions to take down some of the post boxes probably came from the local government and the local post offices themselves. I guess it’s easier to blame Trump for all of this though. Tess loves to blame Trump for everything to the point of parody. This entire post office debacle is just another lesson in not believing everything that headlines say (which is something that Tess has yet to learn).
