Well think for a moment what faction it would be that ends up in charge: likely the most well funded. If it ever looks to the powers that be like this sort of infighting will take place, they will weigh their options and place their bets on the faction that's the least likely to bite the hand that feeds. PR won't matter at that point because that's not the game they'd be playing anymore.

If you mean "pr wont matter anymore" as in no longer folks of either left or right have to worry about optics then yes it would be an improvement.
It would mean folks would be able to openly defend themselves. It would also mean America would be in an open state of civil war. I think.

I think it would be preferable if they just lost popular support by being idiots and the following police crackdowns managed to make these riots fizzle out before we get the bolsheviks leading an uprising. But maybe that's optimistic. Lighting the powder keg of civil war would cause a lot more damage and needless loss of life.

Trump has repeatedly threatened to use the Insurrection Act for two months now. But has he actually done what he should do, which is invoke it and send in the troops? No, unless you count tweeting "Black Lives Matter leader states, “If U.S. doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it”. This is Treason, Sedition, Insurrection!" and "LAW AND ORDER" as 'action'.

Just a thought: these protestors have names and addresses on public files, on facebook, on twitter, on instagram, on livestreams, and probably skywriting soon enough. Will we see more... enterprising joggers hit their houses during these protests? You know where they'll be, roughly the times, and that the cops aren't going to be sympathetic (at best, they'll have a professional duty). Not to mention the police will be stretched thin. Seems like a perfect time to go loot the diamonds from someone's camp in minecraft. Given how many are trustfundarians as well, they'll definitely have some good stuff and have trouble fighting if things go wrong.

Don't do the firecrackers, unless you mean those dinky poppers that make a snap sound when you toss them on pavement. Even the little stick-like firecrackers will maim a person if they go off on their foot, get caught on a pocket after they're thrown, etc. You're in severe felony territory at that point, don't use even small explosives on humans.
