Not speaking for Dear Feeder but pedophilia is one of the few things everyone* in America universally despises. In addition, anything you post is now public and will never go away, even if your account gets nuked (which is inevitable for Dax). Being as I was off Sunday, and always seek to restrain my autism time to billable hours, I haven't listened to Null's call-in yet. Therefore, I can come from a different angle, and think how a fan of TDS would interpret this episode. I was, after all, still a fan only a few months ago.

I shall report back with my impression of how the general audience who never touch twitter or reddit would react.

The thing is that your last statement is a great indicator that Digi isn’t another Chris the Kiwi. Dick feigned interest to keep Chris calling in while his apologia now seems to be sincere. He’s willing to die on this hill because he either agrees with Conrad or likes him enough to do so. Maddox and god knows who else now have ammo to go at him again, especially considering his girlfriend is a teacher. I hope they don’t go down that route. She’s been abused enough by Dax and her ex.

Is it just me or is there a very specific thing with washed up internet comedians regarding the sort of content they post on social media after a huge blowout? Dick's posts following the Null interview read almost exactly like Lowtax's posts following his blowout last month, and I'm pretty sure Maddox had some in the same vein too.

Thankfully Null called in quite early. Before the call was what made me stop listening-- the show has become utterly stale and tedious.

Dick, since you read this thread obsessively, hear me. I stopped listening to your show because I felt it went to shit, but I still liked you. I still looked forward to your WATP crossovers, and thought of you as a person who made bad decisions, but generally an entertaining one.

It wasn't until you suddenly started simping for pedophiles that I stopped liking you. I can't set that aside like I could you being shitty to your collaborators or your girlfriend, because it makes me feel downright unclean even to listen to you anymore. If Dick thinks (and based on what he said, he does think) that being kicked out of a few shitty comedy clubs in the worst city on Earth is bad, wait until Dick's Vordrak rises up, motivated with misguided righteous fury. If that person exists, he's in the audience already, and he'll make Cameron Clarke look like a fucking joke after a few months.
