Gotta agree. I think a lot of people get off just as much, if not more, on breaking morals or shoving taboo things in people's faces. If it was just about living their fetish, they would just do it at home. If not the excitement from the exhibitionism, then it's partially wanting validation and not wanting to feel guilty about what they get off on.This is a very insightful comment and articulates something I’ve sensed for a while. If you go to West Hollywood, there are storefronts with mannequins dressed in leather daddy fetish gear with huge dildos and other sex toys scattered around — plus men on leashes and that kind of thing. It’s hard not to get the feeling that the real fetish isn’t gay S&M, but shoving this shit in people’s faces. Same with Yaniv and his fetish for forcing women to touch and wax his balls when he knows they are revolted by him. Same for the polyamory enthusiasts who can’t just do their thing and live their lives quietly, but have to make sure everyone knows what they do in bed (and characterize anyone who doesn’t want to hear it as a “vanilla” prude who only fucks through a hole in a sheet with the lights off).
