I knew it.

Not to mention the kid that is with him throughout this, how much you want to bet is acutally supposed to be John's past self or how he'd be in his own show?

EDIT: i just finished watching and it was his past self alongside a teen version of himself, which sound nothing like enter.

No thanks, we know a certain Canadian furry will make a superior review compared to this

Only a couple seconds in and he's immediately bitching about the 'Rona again.

Edit: Obligatory Growing Around reference at 10:14.

So, the gimmick for this review is that he's complaining about the movie to his child and teen self. The VA for child-Enter isn't particularly good, but a special mention has to go to the one for teen-Enter, which is legitimately painful to listen to. IDK if he plans on having these in Growing Around, but if he does that isn't a good sign.

But, that's not what's important: A lot of the review has him making comments to his younger selves about his personal issues. It's like he used this whole review as some bizarre therapy session, it's one of the more surreal things I've seen him come out with and it's not making me any more optimistic about his mental state at the moment. If you want to skip to that, go to about 28 minutes in.

Based on the gimmick, this sounds like a ripoff of Nostalgia Critic’s Scooby Doo review

This "Cerra" that edited this review seemed to do an alright job. I wonder how long they've been working for Enter.
This review was adequate, I suppose. The review side feels kind of unfinished, though. But that's what happens when a video doubles as Enter admitting he's regressed lately.
I want to think this will lead to Enter pulling his head out of his ass, being more open to his followers, and not getting so hung up on current events. I want to, but knowing him, it's very uncertain whether this sort of thing will take.
Seriously, John, consider returning to therapy. Plenty of people are making do with the interactions they can do, and I'm certain that includes other autistic people. As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason you can't.

Cerra leaves a trail as far back at the 2018 livestreams (when he was known as Dr. C,) but I think this was the first video he fully edited. Otherwise, he's played sound designer for a few of Enter's bigger projects, his most notable work being the "Growing Around" theme song.

Either it's because I wasn't paying attention (which could be a reason, I was listening to it in the background) or Mr. Enter just sucks at conveying things but I legitimately couldn't tell he was supposed to be talking to his past self for a few minutes, I thought it was some random ass child.
The gimmick alone makes this his worst review in my opinion, at least his early shitty videos weren't just him having weird autistic therapy sessions with himself.

The concept of GA makes no fucking sense and is filled with plot-holes and unfortunate implications. If its the adults that build all the cars, then isn't that technically child slavery since they're seen as the children in the world of GA?
Imagine looking for any internal consistency in something made by Mr enter.
This guy can't even wrap his head around Concepts made for children.

the year is 2050, mrenter still has not "found the time" to finish a top 10 list even though he can shit out scripts for GA and 40 minute lion king reviews.
At the rate he's going America will have descended into anarchy, Hell will have frozen over, and John K. will have produced two sequels to Cans Without Labels before Enter finishes even one thing he's started.

I knew it.
when I first started watching this I thought I'd have to comment that he can't really be too much in the wrong bashing the Lion King remake (I mean... it's shit) but this isn't really a review. He did explain some of what's wrong with the movie (and complained so much About John Oliver, more for his political bent than his actual singing I feel) but the real centerpiece was clearly him interacting with his other selves. Not a terrible idea i guess but it's weird to just stitch it to a movie review that doesn't even come back up at the end.
Also, writing your past self to tell yourself that you're great for writing a book (that actually triggered multiple abuse victims) and making a video-game (He's really counting that "Humorous RPG" as a done video game?!?) it's borderline pathetic.

I do appreciate the new credits thoug, having the patron's name and a small "thanks for watching" goes a long mile to show appreciation to the people that actually make you who you are. Will those last? I have my doubts, but I guess only time will tell.

Looks like Star Giant decided to end her Twitter on the highest possible note: badly explaining controversial opinions. Too bad she isn't famous enough to actually be cancelled.
Also, sadly, I was wrong: Enter managed to influence at least one person's opinion on masks, causing them to have a mental breackdown: Good job Enter!

Of course the one person Enter would influence is an autistic sperg

I think that was the point. Enter himself doesn't realize it's time travel until a few minutes in (The kid occasionally drops hints like "Dinosaur" being the latest Disney film,) then he has to keep pretending they're not the same person to prevent a time paradox or some shit like that.

See, this is the thing that eventually makes some of Enter's biggest fans into his worst enemies: The moment they realize that every piece of advice Mr. E provides has only made them more depressed and suicidal in the long run. "Adulthood is the worst thing ever." "It's not worth adapting to a world that can rapidly change on a whim." "It's better to make nothing at all than to make something that turns out to be shit." For these people, there comes a point where the only way to become a healthier individual is to ignore everything Mr. E tells them to do. I look forward to the day Star Giant reaches that conclusion, even if it doesn't happen for another two or three years.

What do they see in Enter in the first place? He can't answer questions (thus making it hard to have a proper conversation with him), delays things infinitely and is an asshole when you get down to it.

Yeah he said thank you after the kiwis point out how much Mr Enter lacks common curtesy towards his fans (well anyone including himself). Also pro tip to any Enter fans reading this, if you ever want to make it in any industry. Do not listen to the shit advice he spews because it’s going to cost you your future and you will end up as miserable as him.

Why are these people standard of quality Samurai Jack, TT, Avatar and MLP?

Because the first three are an ideal blend of comedic and super-serious which validates their "highly mature" obsession with children's shows. MLP was just a fluke sparked by someone's ironic enjoyment of the first season which spread and got more and more defensive as the years went by until everyone was stuck with it.

Honestly, felt like an alright review. But for someone who complains about shoving politics into places where they don't belong. His rant on John Oliver really felt just like that. I seriously do not get why he has a hate boner for the guy.

Everyone has been making "Trump bad" jokes and such for the past 4 years. Just like when stand-up comedy went through an "edgy" phase in the 2000's that a lot of comedians regret doing.

I guess it's kinda like with Extra Credits. He like the content at one point, grew away from it, and blamed it on it getting worse rather than his views changing.
