We’ll see how much it actually affects him but I’m not optimistic. His patreon numbers seem to have only gone down by about 50 bucks since episode came out yesterday. Are those updated in realtime or are we only going to see the real damage on September 1st? I didn’t think to get an archive when I got off my ass to cancel my sub. Going by the Lowtax thread it's mostly real time but there is a significant drop at the start of the month. He lost $7k in a few weeks.

While I'm sure some pozzed church in California has told him that, that isn't how christianity works. Accepting Christ into your heart is the first step through which you can do to attain entry into heaven it isn't a guaranteed absolvment of your sins. There's a reason why Christians used to flog themselves, pay for forgiveness, or be assigned task to make up for their sins. His understanding of Christianity is that of a skeptic where he gets basic concepts wrong and only repeats points that a few seconds of research would disprove.

All that being said, he never will because people like him get off on telling Christians how they understand their faith more than the believers.
