New one. What the hell, is she 12 years old or something? Definitely mid-life crisis.

I'm surprised that Jess didn't say some shit about how it's good to damage the property of others.

Nice car trace though. Is it a Ford Focus? I know the Ka tends to be a 3 door and I'm not sure if the Fiesta is still being made?

Old Man: What the hell is all that racket outside?
Wife: Walt, I think it's those kids from down the street kicking rocks...
Old Man: From down the street? Those aren't kids! They're grown men dressed like little girls!
[throws open the window]
Old man: YOU GODDAMN FAGGOTS!! GET OFF MY LAWN BEFORE I WRING YOUR GODDAMN NECKS!!
Wife: Walt, calm down!

For someone so willing to steal from stores, these anti-capitalist people sure do get scared by the most trivial things.

It's funny how Faceberg's insatiable desire to rape the privacy of its users is so intense it even gets them to shit all over troons. If they were smarter they'd realize they have a population of utter suckers and make a database of anyone who requests a troon name change and sell it to scam artists who want a population of morons to swindle.

real talk, is mal capable of writing characters that aren't complete self inserts? all of them are gay emotional weirdos who shoplift and get angry at random people.

New Guy and Bradley were cool.
Otherwise, no. In Jess’s defense she admits she’s retarded, I’m sorry: learning disabled.

Yes. New Guy was to all appearances a decent, likeable bear of a dude.

But New Guy wasn't really a character Jess wrote, he was just a random villain the likes of which plague other, similar "Everyone who does not 100% think like I do is both stupid and evil" comics. The equivalent of any rando in Something Positive, or Fat Stubble Nerd in Shortpacked. Generally strawman villains don't count when you talk about character writing, because they're more of a prop through which the author broadcasts what they think are the opinions of their enemies.

But every character meant to be even vaguely positively-viewed in Jess's comics is such a transparent self-insert, merely a slight reskin of Jess herself but with slightly shifted attributes, that it shows a level of self-involvement beyond the usual. While it's natural for protagonist characters to all carry something of the creator in them, the fact that each of these is quite literally interchangeable with each other says that Jess can't conceive of caring about anyone but herself, so herself is all she writes (facing the slings and arrows of the rest of the evil, stupid world).
