It's funny how he told people in the last couple of years that he'd definitely take money for doing nothing and no longer felt like he really had to uphold anything for the fans. That is exactly the problem. Sneaking into your kids room while they sleep to take their phone in the name of trust is never a good thing (for one it violates any form of trust they have with you to be upfront about changes in their life, and shows you have 0 trust in them to listen to your authority), but even just taking it in a normal fashion, its something you do to a naughty kid not a grown adult.

You could argue that Faith's behavior is more along the lines of a child, but every 18 year old wants to be seen as an adult and wants their parents to see treat them as such. Now I know in faith's case doing so completely would be impossible, but at the very least he should have made an effort to talk to her about fears of her talking to ralph BEFORE taking the phone. Show that he's willing to treat her with the respect and maturity he would treat an adult if she can return in kind.
