Wait, so he's been using this to make money the whole time? And here I was thinking the literal shilling for his merch in every single video was to raise awareness for sweatshop workers in Bangladesh.

I watched the first 2 videos he did about pokicunt, then realized this guy is going to milk his merch shit as long as possible. Tuned out after that second video. It wasn't even entertaining in the least, but thought there is still something more drama stuff coming and then: bam, merch.

It's one thing to advertise your merch, but it's another to do it excessively.

If he wants people to know about it, he could always use the community tab like most other youtubers do with the occasional mention in one of his videos.

Normally I'd agree with you, but as uas been said before, he doesnt care. This isnt his long term career, so outside of having something to do I doubt hes really invested

I've been enjoying the throwback. I missed the days when someone could be an effective shit-stirrer without making an 1hr+ long pseudo-documentary. The merch shilling is understandable to me, at least. It's pretty much the only way a channel like that can make any money now that youtube is cracking down.

What LeafyIsHere is doing with those last few videos he made about Belle Delphine and Pokimane remind me so much of what h3h3 did back in 2014/2015. Only difference is that Calvin is more adept at marketing it compared to Ethan and Hila.

old h3 was some solid shit, sucks that he lost the plot and sold out for the dogshit pod. the gamer gunk vid still makes me laugh to this day.

Looks like Calvin walked in on his girlfriend fapping it to one of that guy's videos because that's the most transparently jealous and seething video I've ever seen in my elderly years of interneting.

Oh, it's because that guy's Pokimane video passed his in views and he actually managed to monetize it. For the rest of the people who were reserving judgment on "did calvin manage to stop being such an egomaniac while simultaneously having thin skin in his exile?" issue the answer is clearly no. No he didn't.

I’ve been watching leafy again to rerun through a bit of my cringe teen year memories, and I gotta say, he’s mellowed out. He definetly is doing this just for the fuckery of it but I kind of appreciate that in a way. He’s already set himself up for success and having a future, and now in the mean time he’s doing something he’s taking interesting in again and also something he can make more money with. He’s much less of a mouth breather then I remember him being, maybe that’s just me.

EDIT: Huh. I searched his name and his videos still show up (you can't view them anymore though obviously). I'm not sure if this is what normally happens on YouTube when a channel goes down, but it's something to point out nevertheless.
