I'm pissed because I have a personal connection to that neighborhood, but, well, I have lived here long enough I guess I have personal connections everywhere. This one is just really getting under my skin. Not gonna lie I next day prime'd my super soaker and doe estrus because I have a bad feeling about next week and my location.
For the sake of honesty, I'll risk hat stickers and confess if I lived near one of the suburbs they harassed tonight, Antifa would have the martyr they so desperately crave.
I've urged a purely defensive stance throughout this thread, and I maintain that is still proper. But when that scenario does activate, defense on your home turf should... loosen the rules of engagement. These LARPers have gone 85 days now without learning proper street tactics, only adapting slowly to what the cops will put in front of them. They haven't even achieved the level of competence of the Hong Kong protesters where they stole their ideas from.
They have no clue how to fight against irregular weapons turned against them. They don't prepare for novel attacks. They don't even secure their back lines. They're "like water" when facing a fixed objective like a building, but when they're moving through a hostile neighborhood, they are the relatively immobile large target.
Part of the reason I despise the Antifa Snack Van is because it is so blatantly easy to take out permanently, but no one has done it. Any resident in the area could do it without being detected. The cops have had multiple chances, but they just slash tires; and while it's funny to watch the driver cry about the cost of tires, I'd prefer to hear him cry about buying multiple new vans.
I'm nowhere near Portland and will not be going there, ever. But the brazenness of that fucking van has made me so mad, that as part of my own house's defenses, I added preparations to take out the van's local counterpart if one ever rolls down my block.
