Yeah, Carthaginians were a colonial empire outside of Africa, Egyptians were pretty much Middle Eastern and had little to do with blacks other than being in Africa.
Sudan still has cattle culture and associated fun like cattle raids, Mali still has de-facto slavery, inland Africa is in perpetual tribal gang war, South Africa is USA 50 years ahead in culture. Africa also has a big problem of coastal/river Christian blacks and inland Muslim fanatics like Boko Haram. Unfortunately, Christian tribes tend to be egalitarian and individualistic and hard to bribe/manipulate while Muslims tend to have a top-down control structure where you have to bribe only the top dog to make the whole tribe do what you want, so corporations will favor education-shunning ragheads in power.
Nobody wants peace in Africa because indigenous mining companies would drive the price of electronics up. To make Africa orderly, you'd have to stop those stupid 'peacekeeping' missions which do nothing but escalate resentment leading to more bloodbath later, allow the dominant tribe in all those multiethnic countries to slaughter the other tribes because everyone has a family member who got macheted in a raid and will never cooperate agree with other tribes on anything, wait a century or two so new generations which don't remember third-world problems like where to hide when the next rapefest raid comes start having first-world problems like getting another bedroom or TV. You might not have 'peace' but population will civilize.
You have to understand that Africans are a different kind of breed than Afroamericans. Blacks in USA are descendants of the dumbest, weakest Africans who got sold to slavery for a XVIII century equivalent of a pack of cigs. Trying to survive in a place where raids, theft and honor killings are common tends to weed out the stupid quickly. The only thing to do is to fuck off and let them sort it out themselves, maybe help the Christian tribes with pest control of bushwhackers and Muslims.
