I have zero concrete evidence for this, but I suspect his transgenderism started with transhumanism. Back in his /tg/ days, years before getting on Twitter, he loved playing Eclipse Phase, which is some transhuman-themed tabletop RPG where you can download yourself into new bodies, or something like that. I'm guessing between that and the general degeneracy he was immersed in, something clicked inside him and he said "Yeah, this is my bag."
