If I may play some armchair 4D chess here: I think mid October would be the most big-brained time to pull out the insurrection act and get things under control. As horrible as it sounds to try to use stockholm syndrome as a political tool, it could prove very effective. Punish and deny, punish and deny, punish and deny until the day comes when you fix the problems you have been sitting back and let go on for so long. Then they will love you for as long as that solution is clear and present in their minds (in November).

I'm not telling you to be indifferent or want action to be taken, and I'm not telling you to stop talking. I dont hate you either, but I dont believe that anyone here with our political beliefs has the political capital necessary to justify taking action him or herself.
