They don't believe it, and they know what they're doing will not materially improve one black life in any way. But it is the nature of totalitarianism to repeat slogans and demand repetition, or at least silence, from all. It's one of the ways they enforce discipline and locate free-thinkers, both outside and within.

People never read the entire Second Amendment, the first part of which explains the rationale for the thing. Officials certainly need to answer for their cowardice and ineptitude. That's a problem but it's not the only problem. The more immediate one is that thousands of people's lives are being destroyed because hordes of morality free shits are roaming the streets nightly, destroying people's lives for shits and giggles. Sitting at home whining about the failure of our hired guns, when the whole purpose of the thing is to demonstrate contempt for those keepers of the law -- nope, that don't play. If it's your store or your house, it's your responsibility.

I wasn't exactly fine with even the blue metropolises getting burned down but Kenosha is probably the least deserving of them and if there's a time and place for the authorities to stop watching from the sidelines and make a stand it's there. People need to see it for what it is; a horde of barbarians invading and burning a city.

These people are approaching any use of deadly force by the police as a conscious judgment and not a defensive reaction. As if for example, a cop shoots someone pointing a gun at them because they're so offended that that person dared to violate the rule of law by pointing a weapon at a peace officer that they make a snap judgment that that person 'deserves to die' and executes them on the spot. There's no reasoning with this thought process because it's one that's arrived at through emotion and irrationality or they're being willfully ignorant.
