Sk8r boy just shot through the chest, about to drop dead on the ground. The third attacker feigns to surrender, only to try seconds later to shoot the boy with a pistol he draws. At this point in the video from the other side of the road a couple of shots are heard, the last one causing a whiteish puff of smoke to erupt from the attacker (his arm getting pulverized).

Regarding him feigning surrender only to draw seconds later, isn't that a warcrime under the Geneva Conventions? Not that it matters or is even applicable here, but the fags keep bringing it up everytime the cops teargas them.

If any army is found not adhering to this rule, that nation can be held accountable, the very person that ordered it or let it happen can be held accountable. Ironically, there was an incident in WW2 where German soldiers wore US uniforms to infiltrate a base, but this was deemed ok in a later court case, since the German combatants ditched the uniforms before engaging their enemy.

Alright, you are thinking more macro-scale than I was, fair enough. Interestingly, though, the judge's justification for the acquittal in that particular case essentially amounted to "yo, fuck that particular part of the conventions, we like being able to run around in enemy uniforms".

Nothing of this applies to random shitheads on the street and uniforms can't be enforced by anyone on any level. Say the counter-rioters don whatever uniform they want, let's say it's giant illuminated inflatable penis hats, what prevents someone else from taking that very same thing to camouflage themselves as counter-rioter? I would disagree, they get enforced on the street level. Let's start by speculating for what purpose someone would attempt to infiltrate the other side. Intelligence gathering? They're a disorganized mob, they have no intelligence to gather. Optics smearing? The media opinion has already been firmly entrenched, and everyone either does or does not give a shit about what the media says, but he might get his ass beat for the trouble. And then there's the issue of seemingly painting a bullseye on your chest by wearing for instance a MAGA hat.

The entire purpose is to stand out and be an obvious threat to the rioters, not to blend in with them. A month or two ago, just being armed was enough, but now that increasing numbers of armed rioters are showing up, it's getting harder to distinguish between the two, hence the value of uniforms.

I simply doubt that any side will really pick up a uniform, if only for the lack of a deciding body behind the different groups. We're not talking about armis with quartermasters that hand out uniforms, we're talking about a horde of dipshits with guns LARPing as insurgents.

All it takes is one guy with an idea, see any of /pol/'s projects in the last four years.
