The thing they ALL had in common: Diverse cast, discussion of real life issues in a dignified and frank manner, and NO FUCKING PANDERING. Like all this was simply normalized. No big deal made. No preaching. No pontification.

But then, something happened. Something really bad happened.

they're also big, and for a while you couldn't shoot them left handed because cases ejected, right...into your face
