Jim once related that he sunk three years into the teaching degree before quitting. He was trying to help out some of the lower performing kids improve their reading, and the teacher union goons told him to stop. It disgusted him so much he said he bailed on the degree. It sounded like he was majoring in education if he was teaching kids.
A lot of people that majored in psychology never do anything related to the field. It's about as useful in the scientific/medical fields as a communications degree if you don't get a master's degree or doctorate.

I'm similar in age and plenty of people I know refuse in principle to put a name or picture online. And I don't think they engage in the same risky got takes that some of us do either.

Would Jim show up in one of those high school yearbook websites? I know it has probably already been tried... Would Josh know? He made a post a while ago that alluded to that, I'm pretty sure he said that if it was posted it wouldn't be believed or something, IDK

If Jim's high school is known, you probably could find a picture of him in the yearbook, if you are able to obtain a copy. There's not an absolute guarantee he's in his high school yearbook, but the odds are incredibly high, probably well over 99%. But you are right, even if a high school photo of Jim is located, a large amount of people will simply refuse to believe it.

If Jim is a Gen X middle-age guy, then I doubt his school went through the trouble of digitizing old photos and uploading them online. He would have graduated in the late 90s if he's that old.
Most people just living their lives end up with pictures of themselves. Typically there's always someone taking photos at family events, weddings, and other random crap. It would be difficult to both participate in normal society and not come off as bizarre trying to shy away from every snapshot. I'm guessing Jade's family all thinks she ended up with a very strange dude.
I personally find the thought that he probably needs to maintain a conscious effort to not to say "corona-chan" in public to normies very amusing.

I’m not anti-Jim but I’ve noticed a lot of anger at him for harvesting KF for info, having a sexual relationship with a woman, and not meeting the imaginary SLA with his paypigs that the haters think should exist. You know, perfectly reasonable things to hate someone for.

Can't speak for others, but hypocrisy. Saying he doesn't have internet friends, yet clearly having internet friends. Saying he has principles like being anti flagging and will destroy Mundane Matt for it, but sits back when Ethan Ralph does it. Taking a hard stance against grifting, yet becomes one of the laziest grifters. Chastising Baked Alaska for abusing his audience, but is more than willing to take money for doing nothing more than tweeting. And the Sweetie Squad is a little cringey. He does make occasionally good videos though.
Sometimes a lot of the older ones aren't online, but in person a lot of historical societies and libraries keep historical yearbooks in special collections.

The thing is that nobody is even sure where he graduated from. The Forest Lake highschool is the first assumption but he wasn't anywhere to be found in any books from the late 90s/early 2000s so we don't know if he ever even went there.
