To be honest, me from five years ago would have taken issue with them being shot in the street and would probably have had some mealymouthed opinion about how standing out there with a rifle was too aggressive, but after all I've seen over the past years and especially the past few months as local governments abdicate their responsibilities out of fear or solidarity while chanting mobs destroy cities? I just had one of the strangest experiences of my life recently when an old friend came to visit. Now I know he's a bit Lefty, a bit Atheist, a bit progressive, but he's highly intelligent and has a good heart, and this is why what happened shocked me.

Way back in May ITT I mentioned that I watched a good friend turn from a lefty but generally open-minded fun dude to the soyest of boys (Literally as his pug-faced girlfriend was diagnosed with lactose intolerance, Celiac, hypothyroid, fibro, every other munchie disease so they both stopped drinking milk and eating gluten lmao). Just seeing a person that you've known for 20+ years go into full TDS, reeing about "LITERAL NAZIS, LITERALLY FASCIST DRUMMMPH" is so shocking. He cut off basically all of his family and friends, and cut me off in late March after I made an off-color joke about trannies, not even a very offensive one mind you, and I've had a fear at the back of my mind ever since that he's going to contact my employer and try to cancel me IRL. The only comfort is that he blocked me on all social media so I don't have to see his stupid-ass opinions and he probably has no idea that I've left NYC. Even the lefty women that I know have managed to have debates about topics without going full-on Woker Than Thou and shrieking about how I must repent for my sin of not 100% agreeing with them on every topic with no nuance whatsoever. The Woke Left is seriously a cult and it's frightening to see the effects.

Anyway, I'm safe (?) in FL now, and contrary to what people have been saying, there's no shortage of guns and ammo in the stores around me, so ya girl is gonna be picking up her first gun next week. Everything seems expensive but I'm from a place where guns are banned so I have no idea if these are normal prices or not.

Keeps claiming it's a "racial slur". I've only ever heard far-left people claim that. No definition from actual dictionaries makes the connection to any specific race. Maybe, just maybe, equating the word thug to black people makes YOU the racist?

They seem go after people they do not know for some reason. I worried about the same thing, but have realized that none of them have the spine to report someone they know.

As for gun prices, they are likely elevated now, but if your local stores have decent stock, that is better than most places. Stick with more well-known brands and you will be fine. People here will say a Hi-Point or Taurus get the job done and they do and are better than nothing, but for self-defense, go for the best option you can find and afford.

It's not clear he was actually struck in the dick. There are three potentially deadly wounds: in the 'right groin shattering his pelvis' which is an area with a lot of blood vessels, 'perforating his right lung and liver' (probably deadly more than anything else), and the grazing shot to the head. I suspect the lung/liver shot killed him, and the headshot severely concussed him leading to his apparently oblivious mental state when the cameras got on him.
