You think oic would tip more or less seeing Phil unfurl the 3 inches of polish sausage for another wwe champions wank session? Blasting more uric acid into the couch cushions.

It could go either way.
imo, there's a pretty decent chance that all these last minute tips that save the streak are from OIC, someone mentioned they looked up the names of the tippers and they're never twitch users and OIC has been smug af about how all the tractors talk shit about him on restreams and how he gets tons of messages but during streams all you ever see is him cheering or gifting subs, never tipping.

OIC is definitely tipping with fake names to save the streak, he is seen boasting in chat often about it supposedly at least by the regulars in Dark Dave's chat.

He's an absolute attention whore. It's easy to miss because there's never a reason to pay attention to Phil's chat, but going back and watching the last few minutes of yesterday's late stream makes it clear.

He spams emotes, then mocks Phil repeatedly, all in an attempt to get a reaction out of him. Phil just ignored him and continued warning the chat that this was the end if they didn't step up. To me, OIC's behavior makes it plain that he isn't primarily motivated to donate to "own the detractors," he's doing this because he wants the attention of Phil and the chat. And Phil's complete refusal to acknowledge him is indicative that he's sick of him and he genuinely wants the rest of the chat to pick up the slack.

OIC clearly read all the posts here that compare DSP to a dancing monkey, and he believed that once his position as the alpha whale was established, he would have Phil by the balls, get him to activate clown mode on command, and be elevated to the star of the chat and have all the paypigs revolving around him. The problem is, I think this is an extremely rare instance of DSP learning from his past mistakes, and not allowing the same thing that happened with Tut happen all over again. (I remember DSP added SFV to his schedule just to please Tut, and I have a vague memory of DSP playing the Spider-man game, and Tut making a joke about Maury, to which DSP doubled over with fake laughter as if it were the funniest shit he'd heard in his entire life. This is the level of control OIC craves, but DSP has learned that it's not worth the effort of pretending to like his whales.)

TL;DR OIC is a massive faggot who wants to control DSP. DSP has trapped himself in this position where he's at the mercy of someone with severe personality disorders to continue funding him. They deserve each other.

I think we should briefly acknowledge OIC for paying our lolcow subscription, but then never mention him again because that's exactly what he wants.

I hope OIC has an exit strategy - if he wants his little arc to mean anything, and leave a mark that the DSP-verse will remember then he needs to do something more than just meet the tips goal every stream. If the end of the vest streak were simultaneous with OIC - like he suddenly just stopped donating despite being in the chat - then people would associate him with the end of the vest streak on number whatever.

he could try to charge it all back and claim he won them all, ya know, like another mentally ill individual...

Nah, fuck him. He's the one responsible for delaying the thing that'll bring the most fun in the detractrosphere in months, which is the end of the vest scam.

It would be much more interesting to watch Phil squirm desperately while not getting even 100 dollars worth of tips every day.

People like OIC just deserve to be mocked for being the protocows they are and that's all.

The guy rage quit P3 on Easy, of course he was gonna hate FE. The guy with the business degree who totally knows what he's doing and doesn't need feedback thought Africa was a country ffs.

For anyone who hasn't ever played FE before, Three Houses has a reputation for being notoriously easy compared to some of the older titles. There's even a built in mechanic which lets you go back to any point in the battle. You can use it a limited number of times, but it is a ridiculous amount, especially on lower difficulties. It also auto triggers if you fail the mission, so you really have to go out of your way to get a game over. The general mechanics are also a little more streamlined, so even if you don't have any prior knowledge of the game/which class/skill/NPC combos are broken, you end up being pretty powerful with just the default stuff. It truly takes a Phil level gamer to struggle so much, especially since I'm sure his chat is handholding him through the game.

Because at the end of the day no matter how broken the mechanics of something like this is, it's still a Strategy game and Phil can't think past "the X button attacks right?" so if he can't just brute force something he'll get bodied, which is probably why Divinity is going to banworld the first moment he has to do combat.

OIC been in the restreams asking for an interview lol dude just wants attention from detractors and DSP. If he can't get it from one he'll get it from the other.

Also DSP had 10 rewinds he could have used the whole map. He could have seen he was out of position when Judith spawned in and redid that turn to send units east to connect with her. The game urges you to go that way by putting up an old student (Ashe) and a treasure chest (Loot!) along the way. DSP took none of those bread crumbs and instead put all 10 units in a ball and ran it west. DSP barely used Dance (extra turn), has never used Warp (teleport anywhere on the map) and didn't put his healers in range of covering the NPC escort (Dorothea and Lindhardt with Physic).

You know what he did with 10 rewinds? He killed the NPC off ten times, hoping that the enemy unit would miss (18% chance) on one of the ten tries. Literal definition of insanity. He could have rewound to 2 or 3 turns earlier and sent some people east, or did any of the other above strategies to finish the mission in his "allotted time."

Wasn't it a Thursday when he played Paper Mario for an extra hour of overtime? Why not do that tonight with this game? Especially when he's talking about how long it's going to take to beat this game (November or December assuming 30 hours, but at the rate he's playing, it could be longer) he could use an extra hour here or there. Especially when he's going to game over on missions, too.

EDIT: I also have no clue how he's taking so long to play this game. He isn't taking time to consider which units to field on the map, where to field them on the map, their weapons, their abilities, their combat arts, their battalions. He's just going default default default mash mash mash start start start. I think my first play through was similar in length but I was taking time to consider the above decisions, then fast forwarding through enemy combat animations (you can hold A to speed these up, something DSP has NEVER DONE in 55 hours of gameplay). He likes to drag/stall on parts of the game that don't matter (running around the monastery talking to everyone and never using fast travel) but then rushes through parts of the game that do matter (unit load outs, inventory, skills, etc) then gets butt mad that his lack of preparation leads to him failing a mission.

tl;dr: I love Fire Emblem 3 Houses and can probably sperg more about what DSP is/isn't doing correctly. I just deep down hoped he would have enjoyed the game somewhat since it's my favorite Switch game but I don't think that's going to happen. Dude literally cannot enjoy anything anymore.

Because when he did it for Paper Mario, NONE of his paypigs were in chat and he had to stall like he never stalled before in order to hit the vest goal. He'll only do it for FE if his whales are late paying him or on the off-chance that he's super close to beating the game (I say off-chance because more than likely he'll move it to another day and do a special 2 game night stream instead)

I’m embarrassed you thought DSP might get some form of enjoyment out of the game

I did love his little rant about bad game design in a game based around war and strategy...how dare something go unexpected in a battle...

You see behavior like OIC fairly often in neglected children who grow up to become neglected adults. Validation, regardless where it comes from. Affirmation that you are worth something to someone. It's hard to pin down where he lands on the rainbow of festering mental illnesses because I cannot tell how much of it is an act, how much is an exaggeration of himself, and how much is genuine. Hell, it might all just be an act. He dumps endless amounts of money to someone who wouldn't look twice at him in person, and now he's drifting in a trollish direction, so he's obviously not dedicated to the idea of Phil as a God. He's a mercenary for affection and attention. I've heard of worse things, but not with the price he's paying for it. The answer to make him stop? A good old Amish style shunning. He is dead and gone and beyond God's light.

As for the game play bullshit, that's just a man bored of his fucking skull. Hammering the A button to get to the next part. I think we all do it at some point, but since it's with every game, you can really see the passion for gaming shining through. I have not seen any videos of him playing a strategy game, so I can't tell if he genuinely cannot see beyond the issue immediately in front of him. I wonder how he would fare in an XCom game. That's a shit load of save scumming to make people watch.
Which leads me to my question to no one in particular : why do people watch him? His game play is like watching your kid brother play when he was four and you're just itching your neck like a fucking junkie to take the controller away. His commentary is fucking dog shit, there is no emotion or umph to it, it's just memorized rhetoric, like you would say at a repetitive job. I don't go in for over the top bullshit like old PDP or Gamegrumps (do they even exist still?), but I mean, christ man, try to act less like a brain dead body that just automatically responds to stimuli. Even the rage and hate is forced and untrue, it's just the same thing over and over, he knows he's hated, and he's resigned to stay this way, because redemption takes work, and why work when you get money for not doing work? (nobody tell him that growing and improving as a person, business, streamer, etc. Would make him more money, but that ship has sailed, was taken over by terrorists, driven into a barge full of orphans with cancer, sunk, and then subducted into the tectonic plate).

Also, do not try to relate to him. It humanizes him. There is only sorrow down that path.

You wanna know the worse thing in this situation?

He didn't reset the rng which litteraly means that Judit could not dodge the attack no matter what unless dsp moves an unit in a different way.
If Dsp had 43498489489 tries he would have still failled.
It's like throwing dices the exact same way 10 times and complaining you got the same result.

His face 99% of his stream with the droopy face tells all. He's trying so hard to tell his 10 legit fans left that he LOVES what he's doing for 12 years. Idk about you guys, but I'm pretty sure unless someone genuinely had their dream job and led a REAL successful life, a lot of people would hate their job around the 3-4 year mark and lost some passion. He's not fooling anyone, he hates his life.

dsp talking about how he didn't realise his xbox game pass was 12 months, and thought it was 3 months, immediately puts the blame on the paypig who gifted it

link, yoinked from tweet bot

probably also forgot about his 12 month origin subscription he got gifted from EA

I'm not familiar with how RNG works in the newer FE games (or how it works with the rewind feature). Is there a way to burn RNs or was DSP just completely stuck with that outcome?
